Pagan dies and, to his great surprise, he finds himself standing before some pearly gates. St. Peter asks him, "May I help you?"

The Pagan asks, "Where am I?"

Peter says, "You're at the gates of heaven."

The Pagan says, "But I don't believe in heaven."

Peter frowns at him. "You're one of those Pagans, aren't you?"

"Yes. I believe I'm in the wrong place; I'm supposed to go to Summerland."

Peter says, "Sorry. We took over Summerland, and it's temporarily closed for remodeling."

"What should I do now?"

Peter says, "Well, since we don't allow Pagans in heaven, you have to go to hell. Sorry. Just follow that path that leads downward and to the left."

The Pagan walks down to hell, where the gates are standing open. He walks in and finds beautiful meadows, happy animals, and clear streams of water.

He walks on in and begins exploring, and after a few minutes a courtly gentleman walks up to him and bows politely. "Hello, I'm Satan. You must be the guy that St. Peter phoned me about. Are you a Pagan?"

"Yes, I am. What's going to happen now?"

Satan says, "Well, the fishing's pretty good, if you enjoy that sort of thing. There's a little refreshment stand down the road. And I believe the Pagan meeting grounds are right over the next hill."

Suddenly, a hole opens up in the sky above, and a yawning chasm opens directly underneath it. The stench of sulphur fills the air. Hundreds of screaming, tortured souls drop down into the flaming pit, which immediately closes up with a thud.

The Pagan, hardly believing what he just saw, asks Satan, "And what was THAT ???"

Satan rolls his eyes. "Oh, just ignore them. They're Christians; they wouldn't have it any other way."

You get what you expect to get.

Robert Monroe told a story in one of his books where he was out of his body traveling through different dimensions. He says he saw a woman who had died sitting all alone surrounded by nothing. She could not see anything, not even him.

He heard her saying "I knew I was right! There is no heaven. There is nothing after death... nothing."

Yet she still existed, there, in the middle of nothing. She created it.

So believe in something at least. Start creating your world now. Set it up just as you would like it.

You can have your friends over any time you want. Just think about them. They will hear you and come to see what you have created.

We were discussing this in a coven I was in a few years back. And, I said, "then some people really are going to hell."

They all looked at me stunned. But, if it's true that what we believe in is true than heaven and hell are absolutely true for the Christians.

Yes it is. That is why I try to refrain from dissuading them from their beliefs. It is better to believe in something than nothing.

Also, if a person does go to hell, they can leave any time they really put their mind to it.

Same with heaven.

That makes sense. All you'd have to do is change your mind.

Yeh, its just a state of consciousness. What if when we died we were told and believe we went to some place like New York?

Is there going to be a giant wall around it like in that movie "Escape from New York" where they made it into a prison? Will heaven have a giant wall around it to keep souls inside? I wonder.

But with a true soul traveler, you cannot keep them inside of a place with just a wall. They can fly. They can teleport themselves with their minds.

They talk about heaven's golden gate as if it is surrounded by a wall. I'll bet it is too. I wonder if there is barbed wire around the top to keep people in or out? If not, what is the purpose for the wall?
