Card Drawn: The Devil

Today I decided to ask a different question relating to 'GENERAL WORLD ENERGY'

laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

I laughed at the card I drew: THE DEVIL

Since I am using a generic deck with some rejected designs I drew one of our old devil designs so I decided to post that card.

Upon seeing this card drawn for GENERAL WORLD ENERGY my first thought (and vision) was capitalism.

The world is all about business, and doing business. Its all about trade and business. It is also about greed and temptations of the flesh. Temptations of power and wealth.

It places us and others in bondage to our attachment to things of this world.

The man and the woman are chained together, attached to each other and slaves to their desires and to material things. They work two jobs just to keep up with the neighbors and make payments on their nice house or boat or car.

Yet they have little time to stop and learn what life is all about or to learn how to enjoy it and create something worthwhile.

People think that the world is not abundant and that they must fight and compete or at the very least slave away just to survive. They are afraid. They are too afraid to take the time to use the power of their attention and to focus it on what they intend. Instead, they focus on their fear of not having and of not surviving. Their decisions are based on fear.

They are in bondage to a job they don't like because they fear loosing it.

This is the general energy of the population of the world. It is a struggle to survive.

NOt all people are like this. Only about 80%.

The other 20% are the ones who burst out of the pack and go for what they want and accomplish their dreams.

Card Drawn: Four of cups

Feeling a little Blah today? You are not the only one. This card shows the energy of a bit of the blahs and discontent.

It could also be apathy but it is more like... something is wrong... can't figure it out.

Advice: Keep your eye open for opportunity. Don't let it pass by because you are not feeling up to par.

Hey, JB. I started doing these for myself about a month ago and keeping a journal of them. It's really interesting to pull it at the beginning of the day and then review your day with the card in mind when it's over. I have learned some new ways to think about some of the cards doing this.

Card Drawn: Strength!

STRENGTH

That is what I feel today.

The astrological counterpart of Strength is Leo the lion, which stands for rulership. The rulership implied in this card is one of self-dominion and implicit trust in your own abilities.

A strong person doesn't need to exercise control over others. This strength comes from within and is based on wisdom, knowledge, and the belief that you have in yourself.

While the confidence of the Chariot is the male archetype of raw courage, the confidence of strength lies in the female archetype of internal power.

Strength implies a balance between the spiritual and material and harmony between opposing forces. Instead of fighting the beast, you tame it inside yourself.

The message of strength for today's reading is:

You have the innate ability to deal with whatever life brings. Draw on your enormous energy to break through and overcome obstacles. You seize control of your own destiny and move forward with your plans. By cultivating inner fortitude, you attract the contacts and opportunities you need.

You find the right balance between the spiritual and the material. You are able to successfully blend your conscious and subconscious powers.

Listen to your intuition and call on your inner knowing to help you manifest whatever you want.

Willpower and determination conquer obstacles.

Tarot Energy reading Sunday, Feb 22 2009.

Care drawn: Seven of Cups

So many things to do, so many things to get done. And yet there we sit daydreaming.

The seven of cups is about the need to make a choice and focus on something in order to move forward. What you desire most may be right under your nose just waiting to be recognized.

Until you pick one of your alternatives and begin working with it, all your dreams and ideas remain just castles in the air. Beneath your confusion and indecision lies an abundance of innovative energy waiting to be released.

Use this day to visualize your dream of a specific goal or goals and prepare and intend to bring them into physical reality.

Well each one of them have their special meanings and short of writing an entire book it would be difficult to answer your question about what I think of them.

Reading cards, whether it be a Tarot deck or a regular deck of cards, is similar to reading any signs or even similar to picking a book out of the shelf and opening a page at random and finding an answer to a question you asked there. It is all about interpreting your personally created reality.

Daily Tarot Reading for Thursday February 26th 2009

When I do a reading for myself, the 'question' I usually pose to the mind is in simply asking for advice and I always just read the book for that card meaning to find the advice. Today I asked for advice.
I was hoping to draw the Queen or king if Swords for help on how to get my house more organized. bigsmile Nope.

Card Drawn: Ten of Wands

THE READING:

This is the card of the workaholic ---and of the individual on a mission. You've assumed so much responsibility you feel burdened. You probably don't want to delegate because you believe the old saw, "if you want something done right, do it yourself." You may resent the heavy load, but you enjoy playing the martyr and missionary.

**Comment: (Okay yes, I admit it, I have taken on a lot of responsibility and I enjoy playing the martyr and missionary. bigsmile ) Yesterday I spent the entire day running errands, helping my Aunt, mom, dad, and another guy I've added to my list and I was completely tuckered out and tired of running around town. To add to that it was my birthday.)

WORK READING:
It's time to head out into the world and dispense your knowledge. You can certainly handle what you've taken on. But if it proves to be too much because of other commitments in your life, don't hesitate to release some of your responsibilities. Many of the burdens you carry are self-imposed. Make time to relax and enjoy life. You'll return to the fray refreshed and renewed.

**Comment: I like that advice.

FINANCES: It's time to reevaluate. Your debt obligations oppress you. And yet you have the knowledge you need to get where you want to be; you simply haven't tapped it yet.

**Comment: This is certainly true. I was just thinking yesterday how I want to pay down my credit cards more so I would not be paying so much interest, and that I needed to send out some statements to my computer clients and get paid for my work. (I hate that kind of work but somebody has to do it. According to my calculations, I should fire myself.) LOL laugh laugh

HEALTH: The therapies you try don't seem to work. You're tired of being overweight or stressed out or riddled with minor physical complaints. You benefit from time spent alone, from yoga, meditation, anything that forces you to concentrate on your breathing. Power walking my be the answer.

**Comment: Damn! That sure is true. I think I did draw just the right card for this moment in time. I guess my time out for myself should be a power walk or yoga. ... and I was just thinking about that when I woke up this morning.

SPIRITUALITY: You feel compelled to finish an artistic endeavor that is also linked deeply to who you are -- and who you're becoming. It creates a burden on your family and loved ones. Be honest about what you need; your loved ones will surprise you with their compassion and will give you the space you need.

**Comment: Yes this is also very true. I have been sneaking away from my duties to work obsessively on some new Tarot designs for my on-line tarot reading web site. I have almost finished two completely different major arcana sets. I have a the minor arcana to finish. I will be selling files that will allow people to print them on their computers to laminate and use. I'm very excited about this project and I sometimes feel guilty because I neglect some of my other duties.

EMPOWERMENT: You refuse to let your real or imagined responsibilities overshadow the joy of living.

**Comment: This is true. I really do enjoy my life.

This was probably the best card out of 80 cards to draw for my current moment energy.

The Tarot never ceases to amaze me, even though I still have that little skeptic inside that says ... oh pooh! What a bunch of hooey.
laugh laugh

Sometimes it does not seem to say anything to me, but that is always when I don't really have a question. When I have a question, I always get an answer.

Ask and it is Given.

Have a good day.waving

lol, today's the day I go to apply and begin registration for Pastry Chef school, something I've been interested in for over 13 years, but never had "time for" due to responsibilities of raising 2 kids and requiring a better income than I could "earn while I learned" when I was younger. Well, now the kids are grown and I'm 44 and do'in it!!!!

Gotta love that hooey! lmao
