The Page of Cups is beautiful. I love it. I guess you have reasons not to use it, but it looks really good to me.

The Page of Cups is beautiful. I love it. I guess you have reasons not to use it, but it looks really good to me. Thanks! I even painted this design on canvas. I still have a little more work to do on it and I will sell the painting. We decided to go more in the style of old master paintings and instead of pages we are having princess of cups. Of course this could be a princess, but our princesses will be a little bit older. |

How much would such a painting go for? |

How much would such a painting go for? That would depend on where you were trying to sell it I guess. I don't know what price I will put on it. Probably somewhere between $400.00 and $1200.00. The truth about art is that it is worth what people are willing to pay for it. If it had remained part of our deck it would not be for sale until the deck becomes well known then it would be sold as a collector's work. We value these that are part of our deck to start at ten thousand dollars. I have no idea if they will go for that, but collectors might pay that much. |

Maybe age also helps contribute to the value. In the long run your work will always be a million dollars work. It is one of a kind created by your own imagination and creativity. I feel that way with the novels I write but I will only charge a dollar for the downloads |

I'm doing a portrait now for a local person for only $250. That reminds me, they wanted it for Christmas. I should get busy.
That will be my visualization exercise! I find that if I can visualize the painting clearly, it comes together a lot easier and faster. I will spend the next day visualizing and setting up my easel and then get started on the portrait. I hate rush jobs. But I'm up for it. It motivates me not to procrastinate when someone wants something done for Christmas. |

Card of the day: TEMPERANCE
Saturday, December 13, 2008 Find what is right for you. Tranquility comes to you through your ability to maintain harmony and balance by the successful blending of opposites. This picture depicts a woman with all her chakra's in line, all spinning at the same tempo and a look of tranquility on her face. Above her is pictured a dragon which represents her opposition and her challenges. It cannot penetrate her tranquility. Balance sometimes requires compromise and one should take care not to overly compromise for the sake of a relationship, because that is not balance. Empowerment: Balance and energy suffuse your life. You're in harmony with all that is. |

You are welcome! I love to show off our cards.
Do your five rites and get your chakras spinning! |

Now that is a really nice card. It makes me want to go write about a new character. A type of sorceress who controls a dragon to do her biddings. Very beautiful drawing. Good Job Jeannie!

As much as I would like to take the credit for the artwork on this deck of Tarot Cards, I am not the artist. Darla and me designed the cards in Paintshop using artwork we found all over the Internet. That is the reason this particular deck will never be sold. There are copyright problems in many or most of the cards. Many of the designs were altered works and some involve photographs combined with painted works.

CARD OF THE DAY:
December 14, 2008 CARD DRAWN: FIVE OF SWORDS. To see larger version of this card: http://www.bacaracka.com/400/5-of-swords400.jpg I never like drawing this card but its message has a meaning I shall take into account as I go through this day. This card shows a man standing over some other people who he had just engaged in battle. On the ground, a man lie wounded. Others in the background are moving away from the scene and a woman is crouched next to the wounded man. The energy of this card speaks of a victory won that has injured both parties. You win, but the question asks if it was worth it. And yet it was a battle that seemed necessary at the time. But sometimes you have to fight to break out of a bad situation. You can't expect to sit around on your duff and expect freedom to be handed to you on a silver platter. Domination of one person over another can ruin any union. Arguments have no real winner. Wars are never won. Still battles are fought and we compete with one another. What is this power struggle all about? Is it the urge to be free? To be right? Most marriage battles are not about the issues but about the power struggles. It is about who is right, who is the boss and it can become a struggle just to be in charge of your own life. I believe we fight for our personal freedom and individuality and sometimes it becomes a fight for a place in the pecking order of society and relationships. We want to be heard, and we want respect. Soon it becomes all about the struggle and less about the love. You have to sometimes ask yourself if it is really worth putting the love aside to win a battle. Today I will put love first. |
|
|
|
Unfortunately, most of my battles take place within myself, and I never really find out which side of me wins.
Over all I'd say, I am the winner, and the battles were worth fighting. |

Marriage is bad. But, I guess that wasn't the actual message for today.
Interesting though that that's what I got out of it. |

Marriage is bad. But, I guess that wasn't the actual message for today. Interesting though that that's what I got out of it. Love is good, but the struggles that go on in a marriage can destroy that love. It is a power struggle. It is also about being involved in a conflict where both sides are hurt.. War, Divorce, arguments, fights, etc. It is hard to feel the love, but sometimes you have to fight the battle anyway. |

But, then sometimes we have to stand up for what is right and that may involve a battle. I wish it didn't have to be that way. |

What this card tells you is that you will win but it also suggests that you always ask yourself if the battle you are about to engage in is worth it. Some are necessary, some aren't. |

Where marriage is concerned, or ending a bad relationship, my favorite song is "50 ways to leave your lover."
Why fight when you can just: Make a new plan Fran, Slip out the back Jack, Hop on the bus, Gus, Just pick up and go, Flow I added this above: To see larger version of this card: http://www.bacaracka.com/400/5-of-swords400.jpg |
