The election is over. Stop complaining already. I'm not complaining, nothing I posted is anything close to a complaint about the outcome of the election. Just pointing out the fact that Obama's supporters were largely ignorant of whom they were voting for and whom they were voting against. So, you're making assumptions that all Obama supporters were like that. Obviously that is not what I said or assumed. If you had read what I said, you would know that. I'm sure you are busy with other things, so I'm not blaming you, just saying that I was pretty clear. That's just what your posts sounded like. That's all. |

Well you have Obama supporters here, I guess you are calling alot of us ignorant.. The polls prove that!!! |

I think Obama was elected because alot of people liked his message, which did not change with the wind BTW. He presented McCain as another Bush in a believeable manner, and people were ready for a change.

Well you have Obama supporters here, I guess you are calling alot of us ignorant.. The polls prove that!!! I'm not directing my posts to anyone in these forums. The average Obama voter didn't know much about the scandals and foibles of the Obama campaign. I didn't claim that anyone here was an average Obama voter. I believe it's safe to say that the average person who uses the internet is better informed than the average person who does not. I think you guys are being a bit thin skinned about this, but I do apologize if anyone felt that I was targeting them with this thread. |

I think you guys are being a bit thin skinned about this, but I do apologize if anyone felt that I was targeting them with this thread. Any candidate who gets the nomination of either of the two major parties is riddled with scandals and their past and present is filled with corruption. This is nothing new. It's been going on for decades. People just choose to ignore their candidates bad sides and only focus on those of the opposing candidate. Willful ignorance. When I was a kid I learned in school the person who was voted president was the best person for the job. By the time I reached my 20's I realized the best person for the job never stands a chance to get elected. Our "democracy" is controlled by what the media tells people. The majority never researches a candidate on their own because they're too apathetic towards politics and it's much easier to follow someone else's opinion than it is to educate yourself and form your own. This is nothing new either. It's the reason this country is, and will continue to be run by a bunch of rich ____suckers who don't give a ____ about us. Get used to it. |

I think you guys are being a bit thin skinned about this, but I do apologize if anyone felt that I was targeting them with this thread. Wow. I was saying that I wasn't talking about you guys and if anything the average internet user is more informed...further clarifying that I wasn't talking about anyone in these forums. I didn't claim that anyone here was an average Obama voter. I believe it's safe to say that the average person who uses the internet is better informed than the average person who does not. Meaning: I'm sure you are all ABOVE average voters, since you use the internet and the internet user is better informed than the non-internet user. CONTEXT! is key. Read both sentences and together (the two I just quoted above), they mean exactly what I posted above. Read only one and fill it in with your own expectations of what I think and you end up making the response you just posted. Whatever, I see no point in discussing with someone who seeks offense in every single word posted. |

How do you know what I am..I could have dropped out of school in 9th grade and dont understand any of it. I could be a brilliant teacher of Civics..You dont know.. So you got angry by me saying you are probably smarter and better informed than the average person? Yeah, that sounds reasonable. I feel sorry that you are so thin skinned and just angry with the world that you are offended by a compliment. |

All Im doing is using your own words and your own interpretation Is that what you are doing? Seemed to me like you were intentionally misreading what I posted, intentionally being offended and being generally disagreeable. Thanks for clearing that up. Now can you show me ANYWHERE that I posted about a lack of internet access leading to Obama's win? If not, then your above quote is a lie and I was right. |

"didn't claim that anyone here was an average Obama voter. I believe it's safe to say that the average person who uses the internet is better informed than the average person who does not." Put that with your post! Not everyone can afford internet,, You do realized you are using the internet, right? You do realize that would mean when I typed "I believe it's safe to say that the average person who uses the internet is better informed than the average person who does not." I was talking about the members of these forums? Do you know what an olive branch is? You know what, it's easier if I don't explain it to you. I'm sure you still think you are right, so keep on thinking that. EDIT: Even though you couldn't provide a quote proving that I said Obama won through lack of internet access, I don't think you are a liar. You have shown me that there is another alternative that I hadn't considered. |

Yes well... most are taking a wait & see attitude about OBAMA. ...but not holding their breath either.
It looks like politics as usual with an inexperienced poll at the helm. OBAMA will certainly have to sleep with one eye open now. Won't he? |

You have not proved Obama won because people were ingorant and didnt know the issues. No, of course I haven't! I wouldn't want anybody to think I thought I had and I certainly didn't mean to imply that I had. Zogby did, with his poll. |
