not to be taken personal spider - but stay clear of assumptions, when we make those normally 2 people look bad.

The reason Palin was more recognizable than her running mate is whose fault? how did she become so infamous, so memorable?

I'm not making assumptions. It's a fact: Obama voters ON AVERAGE didn't know enough about any candidate to make an informed vote. In fact, they knew far less about Obama than they did his opponents.
Proof please!!!!

Why tempt? OP did include a link - must admit I didn't view - had a feeling things were going to be one sided (jmo)

I stated that the source of these facts are/were/maybe biased and that comment was overlooked.
Oh yes the polls. They have been right all along. Very close race that's why it was called as soon as the last precincts closed. What about the people that were polled and wouldn't say that they wouldn't vote for Obama because hes black? What about the people that voted for Obama because they just didn't want another Republican in after the last 8 yrs. ME!!! The spreading of false info to undermine a candidate was the only thing the Republicans could do. Hey that's not our fault, they need to look at your own party for that..

Based on these abitrary stats? I could easily come up with a list of things that most conservatives don't know about mccain. It's far from a measure of who is and isn't more informed.

I said nothing about McCain supporters. I'm not comparing McCain supporters to Obama supporters. What I have said is supported by the poll results. Maybe the McCain supporters know as little or even less than what the Obama supporters knew, but that's not the point. I haven't touched on that issue.

Still, the stats are arbitrary and have no specific measure of how informed voters are. Noting that they knew something about Palin but didn't know something completely unrelated about Obama doesn't support the argument that they knew more about Palin than Obama. I bet the majority of voters don't know that Palin was even under investigation in regards to her allegedly trying to get her former Brother-in-law-fired. It would be much more valid to compare what voters knew about each candidate's voting record, or platform. But the truth is... most voters know very little about their candidates.

Well I for one am sick of the hate and assumption that I voted for Obama because I am stupid,to piss off McCain or because I wanted to do the popular thing.I studied the issues and Obama was who I liked. You didn't.
Can we move on and help Obama make this country great or are we going to be poor losers.John McCain has shown great class in defeat.I just wish his followers would do the same.
United we stand .Or can we only do that when we are in a 9/11 situation?

The poll was by Zogby. Do you know who he is?

He's a Democrat, Obama supporting Muslim. It's going to be hard to make a case that he's in the tank for Republicans.

And because he said so it is?

Polls are biased, the questions are biased, there purpose is to try and persuade others into following the originator purpose or train of thoughts (absolutely my opinion) but in order for a poll to have full meaning to me (but who am I to be satisfied) it must encompass ALL the people, must be responded to by ALL the people, not some, not just some, not many, but ALL.

I could take a random survey of 5 people walking down the streets. 3 out of 5 Obama voters would be the majority not the average, correct? But this is only my opinion - with regards to polls in general - no idea who Zogby is, as I am sure he doesn't know me either

http://www.howobamagotelected.com/

71.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

And yet.....

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

The election is over. Stop complaining already.

I'm not complaining, nothing I posted is anything close to a complaint about the outcome of the election. Just pointing out the fact that Obama's supporters were largely ignorant of whom they were voting for and whom they were voting against.

Personally I think he needs to worry about his own party. The same party that lost the true conservatives because..MAN YOU HAD A CHANCE TO PUSH YOUR PRICIPLES & VALUES but went against everything the party stood for.. GULP!!

I wasn't for him at all, But, he was elected fair and square and is our new Commander in Chief. I will give him the chance to put his money where his mouth is and do the job. If he is not a good president, then I will be vocal in my opposition to him, if he does good, I will admit I was wrong and that he has done good, time will tell, we should at least give him the chance.....signed, A Republican

So, you're making assumptions that all Obama supporters were like that.

Obviously that is not what I said or assumed. If you had read what I said, you would know that. I'm sure you are busy with other things, so I'm not blaming you, just saying that I was pretty clear.
