seriously though, it is a shame that stay at home parfents are not
valued more. However, your refusal was not based on you staying home hun, it was based on the fact that as far as credit goes you did not exist. Soemthing we should be teaching the younger generation is to build their credit up from the beginning. YOu do not need to be working, you do not need credit cards. believe it or not, for those that ar emarried or live with someone, simply put the utilities in both names or your name. After fifteen years (as an example) your credit will be glorious as long as you always paid your utilities on time. This goes for phone, water, anything that has an account. |

To me a woman's worth is to precious to put a price on. maybe it's
because of the way I was raised and the way I treat women make's me believe that way. don't belittle your self because with out women we would'nt be here. John |

a stay at home parent has about the most noble job there is. The fact that so many more women (not just traditionally) but in today's society embrace this "choice" just reflects their clarity of values. I certainly commend the men and their security of self who make this choice and have the character to hold their head up while their female counterpart is the breadwinner. |

cheers to the men too! wave.
This isn't about price or money value it is about selfesteem. We forget sometimes how much we do ...Some of us anyway. just my opine. |

LW, I totally agree with you but, by and large, sad to say that most of
society will look at a SAHM or homemaker and say, "Why don't you have/get a REAL job?" Or, "Why don't you work?" Or "You're a freeloader." Especially if she doesn't have children but just wants to maintain the house as her "job." Running a household is a full-time job, and when I say that, I don't mean sitting around watching soaps all day, either. |

I think that there is no monetary value that can be applied to any woman
nowadays. Of course, society and the work force keeps on trying to understimate the real value of a woman. Our value is in our strength, which is not the same as physical power. In our resilliency and resourcefulness. Our abiity to make magic and feed an entire household on a very limited income, the same magic that makes a boo-boo disappear. The strength that shows behind a stern look that will make a ****y "nobody" shaky to the knees. No... I might not know what why monetary value is. But I am quite sure that the man willing to pay such a price for this "prize" hasn't been born yet. |
