While many people do have their nativity scene and such out on Christmas. Many more celebrate it more as tradition without any pretense of worshiping anybody.

It is a day that easily brings people together, causes joy and happiness between family members, especially parent and child.

And for those that are religious, they pray to God, they spend this day of happiness and giving in the name of God and Jesus.

Regardless of it's roots, the tradition of this Holiday now is firmly in the hands of another God than the one it started in.

That fact that the majority of people who celebrate it are Christian. And that the name derives from "Christ's Mass". While the winter part is basically derived from the many winter based festivals out there, Christmas itself is now Christian.

But all traditions and such change over the course of time. Who knows how the winter festivals will be celebrated centuries from now.

I was merely pointing out that while celebrating it during this time is taken from old traditions such as Saturnalia, Yule, and Celtic things like Samhain and the Winter Solstice; A majority of the Western world's winter festival is Christmas, which is Christian and as such its probably not a holiday that God hates.

It sounded as if you were attempting to infer that the Winter Solstice or Yule was no longer in existence and no one actually recognized it as such anymore. Nothing could be further from the truth. I myself celebrate Yule and have for the past 10 years as do many people that I know. Christmas is the Christian designation of the appropriated Yule Winter Festival. If that is all you meant by your comment, then so be it.

I did not mean that. Simply that Christmas is another Winter Festival in long line of Winter Festivals and that attributing it as evil because it borrowed things from another religion or festival is foolish and undermines the good things brought about by such traditions. Christmas itself is not the same tradition as the others, it is firmly a Christian tradition and to say God would hate it is just annoying. Sorry if I offended.

 Thanks Everyone for reading this thread. Thanks for all your comments and responses, thoughts, opinions, information, jokes, laughs and smiley faces. Although we do not all agree on all things.

Yahushua will come and all the nations will return unto Him. There will be no more confusion, arguments, division, torn families, denominations, religions, holidays, rituals, broken friendships, jealousy, hatred, religious pride and mingle2 religion forums. We will all be one Family in Yahushua in One mind, One Body, One Spirit. Praise Almighty Yahuah.

We are declared righteous by belief in Yahushua and not by works of Torah. We are to keep Torah but it does not make us right. It only shows us we are not being obedient to Almighty YHWH.

John 14:15
" If you love me, guard My Commandments"

Hi Krimsa:smile:

I have not conformed myself to any man made religion. I believe in The Set-Apart Scriptures inspired by YHWH's Holy Spirit. I keep the Almighty Creators HolyDays, Appointed Times and Feasts, Sabbaths as He so commanded all His people those of the flock and those who will come into the flock. He is the Ultimate Authority over all things.

I not perfect. I just try to follow the guide line for living as He so gave us. That's all. nothing more nothing less. Sometimes I stumble and fall but I dust myself off and try again. I strive. I press forward. I ask for His help, and He gives it to me because He loves me. As He loves you and anyone who is reading this. YHWH loves you. He says "If you love Me, keep My Commandments" not anyone elses "My Commandments"
and "lean not unto your own understanding" trying to figure everything out and make sense out of everything, which you cannot because your understanding is limited. Trust in YHWH in all your ways and He (not men) shall direct your paths. I hope this helps some of you. It is spoken out of love and inspiration from Almighty Yah.

See Krimsa there is no conversion, just a way of life. Life that YHWH is preparing for us to live when His perfect kingdom descends from the Heavens unto the earth. Not just me. All who are called and chosen according to His perfect will. Because we know many are indeed called but only a few just a remnant are chosen.Praise Yah!

Peace and Blessings to you all. Oh and dont forget to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Yah Bless!

Yamin:heart:

So does that mean you are now okay with the holiday seasons of Yule and Christmas and Hanuka and Kwanzaa or no?

If there is any scriptural reason why it should be celebrated than so be it.
