(This is James pictured as a Horny Borg.)

Has anyone done any spells lately or been experimenting with the law of attraction?

If so, lets here about it and your results if any.

I did an attraction spell using witchcraft and it worked so well it's almost scary. scared

I don't know if that's the same as the law of attraction or not.

This spell required the following:

1. Meditating on what I want.
2. Asking the Goddess for what I want.
3. Acquiring some physical objects that resonate with my soul.
4. Writing a chant and chanting to the wind.
5. A belief that it will come to pass.

I did everything with the innocence of a child, believing that it was going to work every step of the way.

However, I was willing to be patient and I didn't expect immediate results.

None the less, I got immediate results.

That was a shock because in truth I wasn't prepared for it. laugh

Lesson learned: Don't do a spell for something you're not prepared to receive!

Prepare yourself first and then do the spell!

Abra,
That was an interesting over view of a spell, but I am more interested in the details of what you asked for and how it arrived, (and how you asked for it.) Here is an example.

I always have a black cat. After my last one died (got hit by a car) I decided I wanted another one but that I would ask the universe to provide the right one.

I just asked by informing the universe I was ready and willing to accept another black cat into my life.

I was attracted to pictures of black cats, and I bought a calendar of black cats. Then I went to Wal-mart and I found a mechanical black cat that would purr and meow and hiss and growl when you touched it or messed with it. I bought that.

That was the total of my visual technique.

I did not tell anyone I wanted another black cat because that would have brought people coming from everywhere with cats of all colors that needed a home. I did not actively look for a cat or kitten. I just visualized and waited.

About two months later: Two children knocked on the door. They told me that they heard noise that sounded like kittens in a hole in front of my house where the water shut off valve was.

I went to look see. There were two little black kittens about two weeks old in there. They barely had their eyes open. I literally plucked them from a hole in the earth where their mother had hidden them.

I bottle fed them. But I was torn between them trying to choose the one I wanted to keep. I did not really want two black cats. But I loved them both so much I could not give one of them away. I kept them both until they were grown.

One of them was very independent and curious and ended up climbing in a trailer and taken away. He never found his way back. I was very sad.

But the one I ended up with is the most lovable huggable cat I have ever had.

The universe delivered the right cat for me.

There was a cool black cat that used to come visit me named "William Bovey" He was a tom and a bad ass yet very friendly with humans. He would just routinely go kitten hunting as toms do. I thought his named sounded like a gunslinger.

William Bovey

Update on Penczak

I've been reading through The Inner Temple book. It's slow going because I have other things to do. I often read at nigth in bed and fall asleep in the middle of reading. laugh

It's kind of cool though because he talks about visulizing things in the mind's eye and then owl start doing that and go off into a vivid dream visualizing these objects. Then owl suddenly wake up and realize I'm still holding the up book on my chest.

I've had some pretty vivid visulizations thus far. This is something I've always been good at. So I think owl be able to learn to control visulizations pretty well.

I've also listened to all four of the meditation CD's that come with this book. They're pretty cool. I did these meditaions whilst laying in bed.

I'm looking forward to doing them many times over sitting in a lotus position at the alter with a candle and insence.

Right now I'm just going through these books to see what they are about. I might read all three books first, and then go back and start studying them in more detail and doing the meditations more methodically.

They are a great collection of meditations from just learning to visualize, to becoming a tree, to absorbing different colors of light raindrops, to repairing your aura, to astral projection, and much more.

I can see doing these over and over again. These are all done with his voice narration as a guide with meditation music in the background.

There are some little tiny things that bother me and I'm doing fairly well at letting go of the fact that they bother me. One of them is the fact that I would like some of these to last a bit longer and include more detail. However, I might make up my own meditation CDs using my own voice to guide me through them. Or maybe just use music alone and freelance through them without audio instructions.

In any case, one of the things that kind of bothers me is that he starts every single meditation with the same countdown from 12. But he does it as follows"

12 see the number 12 on the screen of your mind, 12

11, see the number 11 on the screen of your mind, 11

10, see the number 10 on the screen of your mind, 10

He repeats the clear down to the number 1.

It's a bit wordy. I would much rather he had just counted out the numbers with a long pause between them.

The other thing too is that I tend to visualize in my mind in 3-D. Like the objects are part of my world. (not like as if they are on a screen).

So his constantly stating to see these numbers on a screen actually tends to screw things up for me.

I wish he would have just said,...

12 see the number 12 in your mind's eye, 12

This may seem trivial. But the constant reference to a 'screen' just screws with my mind. ohwell

It actually causes me to imagine a movie screen with these numbers being projected onto it.

But that's not what my mind wants to do naturally. Naturally I would see these numbers as 3-dimensional objects floating in empty space. They may even tumble or turn around, and just kind of float by.

But when he keeps saying to see these numbers on the 'screen' of my mind I tend to see them as being projected on a movie screen like as if I'm sitting in a movie theater.

But that alienates them from me. In the way I normally visualize them I can reach out and grab them like real objects.

It's funny how a trivial wording can have such a profound affect on the mind.

He would have been better off to just count down the numbers and left pauses between them instead.

Other than this trivial complaint, I really like the rest of the meditations sequence.

I am working on ignoring the word 'screen'. laugh

These books are great and pretty much just what I was hoping for.

After I get these mediations down pat, I'm sure I'll make up some of my own mediation CD's.

The one where we become a tree is pretty cool. I think I would take it a bit further and become a bird in the middle of it, take a short flight, return to the tree, and then become the tree again before returning to the human form.

I could easily see this meditation becoming an hour long meditation.

In fact, I could become a morning dove with the sunrise and take a short flight, the become the tree again. At noon I could become an Eagle and soar high in the sky. Then when the moon rises I could become an Owl and fly around in the moonlight experiencing the owl's nightime vision.

It's a great meditation!

The possiblities are endless.

He has a meadow meditation too that could be expanded on to become all sort of animals from a coyote, to a deer, to a bear, and maybe a raccoon at night.

You could just go bananas with these meditations.
