Again, I did not say that being older makes it IMPOSSIBLE to do better in life. Drew was talking about working at McDonald's as a teenager and he did better for himself. I told him that it was more DIFFICULT when a person is older (not a teenager) and has children. I said that it is difficult to put food on a table when making min. wage and you have children. Lildevilsmom did not bash you here. Lildevilsmom: Apparently on your way to the top you forgot where you came from. I would call that a bash. If you guys are going to dish it, then you need to be able to take it. I would like for this to just end, but you guys keep going and going. Will this end? Are you going to be done soon? I WILL prove my points and if you are going to say something that is rude to me, you may want to expect the same back. I post on many threads and you telling me that I am stalking you, laughing about someone saying that I have a crush on you, and all those little jokes are pretty juvenile. If you are a christian, act like one. Tina just got in from work and I see the debate still rages...gulp !!...I'm takin' bets on who will get the last word...lol... I keep on easing back out of them.

I think she was giving you a honest assessment. It's what you have been saying that gives us that perception. If I am a Christian, act like one? What?! You're my mother now? Haven't you heard, laughing releases the tension? Being silly can be fun? Also, it feels like you're stalking someone when you're quoting them incorrectly on two different threads. Then cutting and posting that person two different times on different threads and keep talking about that person on multiple threads. As you say...move on! |

Funny how those who are against helping the poor seem to be unable to read or comprehend the posts of those of us who are saying that poor people DO work.  It's not a question of work ethic, it's a question of home life (children, no children, etc.), job market, career choice, etc. And this is simply a fact -- some people are better at math than others and can BE stock brokers. Others are great in school and especially science. Bravo you can be a doctor! My gifts lie in education and children. I'm a teacher. Does the fact that I make less mean my job is less important or that I am lazy? That is very flawed logic, IMHO.
