it seems as though there is argument about pro life when in fact the child's life was already decided for him/her by the mother when she decided on abortion.

so, the problem is that if, after that decision is made and carried out, and the baby still lives, who's responsibility is it now?

wait lets blame the doctor for not completing the procedure

wait lets blame the mother for deciding what do to with her body

wait lets blame the father for getting the woman pregnant

wait lets blame religion

wait lets blame politics

wait lets blame the parents

wait lets blame the community

wait let blame anyone and everyone else. Never said it was your fault, but that I was going to blame you. waving

afterall why accept responsibility when we can jump on high horses and dictate whats best for another?

Why would any sane woman wait until the last minute, or far enough along in her pregnancy for the fetus to survive anyway? That to me is wrong. Is that common? But still, I support a woman's right to make decisions regarding reproduction and her own body, and doctors who for medical reasons, say, the life of the mother, who decide that a late term abortion is in order. Good things could come from abortions... like stem cell samples for research, perhaps saving countless lives! Palin is against all abortion... regardless of the reason whether it be rape, incest, or for the health of the mother. I hope she never is elected to any position of power ever again!
Perhaps through education and frank discussion with our children and young people we can curb unwanted and unplanned pregnancy, and thus minimize the number of abortions in the U.S. Seems to me that in that case, both sides could win!
And as far as the morality of these decisions, if you are a believer, then won't God take care of it all on judgment day?
I resent laws that try and impose morality over such a private issue as an unwanted pregnancy! What a relief it will be that we will have a liberal President who will appoint liberal Supreme Court Justices who will undoubtedly support a woman's right to choose! Go Obama!!!

I am strongly pro-choice.

I beleive abortion is wrong. For me...

Most people I know who are pro-choice would like to see fewer abortions. How do you accomplish that?

Information, birth control and good health care would be a fine start.

Pro-choice people are not rabid murderers who want to kill babies. Most of us are realist who know that sadly sometimes abortion is the best option. Most of us know we cannot speak for God and know right or wrong this decision should be between the parents of the child and their physician. I have enough faith to know God can sort it out when the time comes.

It may not be 'my choice' but who am I to chose whats best for someone else.

Don't allow the government to continue to slowly and gradually take away your personal choices and your right to decide. flowerforyou

the OP is referring to a woman that has been saved from a death sentence given by her mother.
the mother aborted her, but she didn't die.
they kept her alive and she survived.

however, the OP is implying that she will not vote for Obama because he may be 'for' terminating babies that are born this way.

So, i don't believe this has to do with a woman's choice in aborting or being forced to keep her baby. the decision was already made.

am i off kilter here or is that what it sounds like to anyone else?

For the record - Obama voted against that bill because of it's wording. The way it was worded, it would have prevented women from being able to get help even if their life depended on it. It's also a rare procedure.

my own particular view is that every abortion stops a heart from beating. How ever you pretty it up and rationalize it, that is killing

but I also believe that sometimes it is necessary to kill. I just hope it's never my decision to make

That's true..but it's not reality!

Neither is the cow pucky that Abortion and Choice of or Choice Not of... is something that a PRESIDENT should place on his/her agenda as IMPORTANT to running this country...

Reality (I hope) for a President should include things like..

Is my country safe? (what should we do to make it so).
Can We defend our friends?
Can We defend ourselves?
Can we have peace in this area of the world or that?
Should I use diplomacy or deploy troops for this or that problem?
Who do I send to this country as an ambassador?

How can we contine to get goods and services flowing in our country...

You should see my child's school. The parents don't consider those things. They only consider the abortion issue. They don't have a clue as to what the other issues are about.frustrated

Reckon that is not a problem for the government... Short sighted parents yeild children that must overcome bigger hurdles in life to get as far.

Comes from thinking that your children are your descendants... (come after you)

Stead of your ASCENDANTS... and placing their futures above yours that your get and theirs may climb higher.
