razor sharp edge ... pitchfork

even better.....katana edge sharp.....

...but a GINSU never needs sharpening :)

nor does a true katana

But could I saw through PVC pipe, cut wire AND then slice tomatoes??? (seriously...I have one of those ginsu thingees from god only knows where and it's still sharp after 30 years!)

The Katana must pass a very extreme test before it will ever make it out of the sword makers hands.....I can not quote the tests but I can promise you that the Katana will cut a person in half....bones and all.....then you could still slice those maters....

However, now you have me to thinking....I am going to see if I can track down the making of the Katana, and when I find it, I will post it on here....

I don't know if I would classify myself as "edgy" or not. For the most part, it seems to be a trendy buzz word that will probably end up going the way of words like "hip" and "groovy". After enough time goes by, it ends up being more of an embarrassment than anything. U Dig? :)

No dig. lol

Honestly edgy to me is just a risk-taker. I am one. For sure. Especially now that I have no job to take a risk WITH. ha ha!!

How are ya hon?

Speaking of Edgy edges...

...I have carried one of these Spyderco (brand) Police Model knives in my front pocket for the last 20+ years.

This sucker will rip through anything a Ginsu can, plus a whole lot more, and come back hungry for the next job.

I was once on a 104' double-mast scooner on the Atlantic Ocean. The captain of the ship was trying to cut through a 3-inch diamter anchor rope with a kitchen knife...lol... I said "let me see that" and whipped out my Spyderco. Zip, zip, zip... in three strokes, it was completely through the heavy salt-water encrusted jute rope. The captain says "let me see that thing"... it was one of those cool Edgy moments.

I had left all native existence behind (I went in at 2am and grabbed my mahinust's tool box, and posted a "goodbye" note at the shop, and went to live with Captain Yellen on his sailboat "The Libby Rose", (a 1937 Alden Yacht, 104 feet from bow mast to stern, a complete wooden ship with a huge history of salt water voyages...what fun, and how edgy!!!) and was living aboard the sail boat for a short time in my life.

If you've ever lived in Mississippi and seen or experienced Kudzu, this Spyderco has sawed through some of the most knurly Kudzu vines on the planet...haha. Some of those you can't even close your hand around, just big, fat, juicy Kudzu. The stuff grows about a foot every week, but if you hack it off close to the ground, you can later pull it out ofthye trees it grows up and over. It will completely cut of a hundred foot tree from all sunlight. I once saw an entire abandoned house, out-building and all the trees in the yard covered by Kudzu.

I did a search on Google, and here is the picture of a house that has been completely covered by Kudzu:

Let me loose with a pair of snake boots, a machete and my Spyderco, and I can carve you a path through that Kudzu floor. Look at how it attaches and climbs into the trees.

LOL
