The day men and women stop believing in a Creator, God Higher being that created them and start believing in the strenght of the human heart and brain will be a better day, that is where hope for us as a civilization is and not in a God that we created because we cannot accept the fact that we are alone in this and that we will suffer the results of our actions from the beginning we better like to believe that someone something will come and save us on that final day. We cannot accept that that there is nothing after here we like better to see a place were everything is perfect and waiting for us for us to live eternity in peace and bliss. Since the beginning that man started to think and reason we always had to have something bigger than us some God or Gods to save us protect us, we are still a baby as a race so we still need the protection of a bigger thing than us. One day we will grow and realize that we human are only part of this planet and a temporary tenant on it. Will we learn in time? or destroy this mother of a planet or will Earth get rid of us one day? Only time will tell.

It would be a peaceful world. Think of all the wars throughout history that would have been avoided and all of the lives that would not have been lost in the name of a religion! There has never been as much loss in this world then that lost because of religion. NOTHING has killed more then religion! In the beginning and perhaps still now, man has been gullible and stupid. Always looking for someone or something to blame or follow, like sheep. We are no longer that man and need to grow up and make peace with each other. We have brains and are able to reason.

I agree that most wars have been done in the name of Religion.
But was the true example of our Messiah carried out? Or was it men twisting things for thier own agenda for what the root cause of all wars really is. Power. It all boils down to Power. This country's founding on religion caused the South to attach a fort when Lincoln before he was in office just did not want slavery to spread. This so angered slave owners that they attached a fort setting off the civil war white man against white man over the freedom of slaves. Then people for this cause risked thier lives in the underground railroad sneeking slaves out of the south. This from the Union states was not done for power. It was done because the Bible and our constitution said all men are created equal. This was good men doing the right thing. Then came along the right for women to vote. We can see in our Muslim countries the rights of women. It had been like this everywhere for a long time. This country trying to correct the wrongs and misguided teachings of the Holy Scriptures were trying to understand more what our creator really says for us to do. This being the foundation of this country through our constitution. After deliberations and the House and Senate even Today opens with a Prayer. Who were trying to understand more. Seen that women should have the right to vote. Then in the 60's I believe when some KKK members killed 4 african Americans and the Bombing at a church that killed several Black children. Our Govt. stepped in to protect thier rights. Not a very popular decision amoung alot of people. Yet they saw how bad it had gotten and that our Bible Based Constitution said this is the right thing to do. We ended up with the civil rights act. All Men are created Equal. The very thought of all this being done by a society such as Russia which is a non believing Monarchy. We would still own slaves. Women would not vote and we would be in a society where the ruling upper class rules. Oh I forgot. thats us today isn't it. Govt. owned banks. Pres. does not answer to the people but makes his own rules and laws. Invading countries that we had no good reason to invade. While killing our children while the rich get richer. Yes We have come along way. We have become Un Holy. We are going back to the time of hide behind a shield with a cross on it and it makes it right. but stomp on our constitution and all of our rights as our Politians deem fit. This is not scripture Based. No this is man doing his own thing as you all suggest. We are already thier. Lets use this forum as an example. Thier are far more unbelievers here than believers. It is just a taste of what trinkles down from the top. What our children are taught in school. The rage towards religion our Proffessors of colleges proclaim in thier philosophy to our young adults before they reach the work force. Philosophy is where it is at. Man can do anything he wants. Religion is for the weak. Darwin says it is survival of the fittests. Selection. or selective philosophy. By who? The ruling upper class is who. Yet we believe this lie. We forgo all our grandparents stood for. Because we our taught in a peer pressure society to where if you do not get with the program you are a loner. The but of jokes. So our children give in and start to believe this lie os selectivity. We see right now how survival of the fittests works. The Govt. takes control. Is that your utopia? Selective classes depending on what your parents status in society was is what you will be. It is amazing we are told oh we were a catfish and then the catfish began to come on land then the catfish stood up. Then he lost his fins. then his guiles and he grew arms and leggs. Then hair come on him to keep him warm. His head changed to look like a chimp and then his whole body and he moved to the forrest. Then he started to grow smarter and as he did this he was able to stand straight up instead of humped over. Then he became a MAN. this man came down to be who we are today. Then the bible just says you were created to rule the earth and all that is on it and I gave you my breathe of life and you came alive. What an amazing joke Satan has played on Mankind. Go tell gramma that we all were catfish at one day and see if she laughs thinking you are her very funny grandchild. No this is a Mark of socialism. And we love it. The TV tells us we do. The issue of slavery and freeing the slaves was brought about because the northern industrialist wanted and needed more cheap labor, it had nothing to do with "all men were created equal" it was simply due to economics of industrialist. the slaves were to replace the Irish as a "cheaper labor force, as well as others. When the constitution was formed, the writers meaning of "ALL MEN" was thought of by the framers as all >civilized men< - not all races, creeds,and colors.Why do you think it took so long for race issues to really be addressed? The constitution was based on english philosophers of democratic and republic ideals such as Locke anf Hume, as well as others - that was tempered with deist thoughts and even Native american thoughts on what kind of government should be accepted as a standard for america [see last three pages of smiless native americans OP that i contribute to. As to religion - your correct god cannot be blamed for the selfish desires of men who seek power and position and will do what ever to obtain it - be it pope or religious government. the people should not have followed. |

A world without would be a lost world indeed My lady, if religion or gods never existed, how would one be able to concider themselves lost? Think of all the STUPID, BAD choices people make on a daily basis... Most/some of those people don't care or believe in God. Most good standing citizens are God fearing individuals. They try their best to be the best person they can be... If we lived in a world that was run by people that had no regard for themselves or others, it would be Chaos! I rest my case....no God heart leads to "HELL." That's what a world without God would be...HELL. The question was: What would life be like without religion? Your answer makes it seem as though you actually think that God would cease to exist if there was no religion. No God will always exist...life without HIM would be HELL! What most don't get is the Russians tried to do away with "religion" for their self serving govt. godless society & it didn't fare well for those people because there was no moral righteousness in govt or their leaders that lead to govt. tryanny...the iron curtain and all that. Only an honest look at some of the most corrupted human beings who took power would reveal alot about man vs. God. I like my God not only because He made America & blessed us but because He's real. I don't do religion because there is so much more to it than that. So I guess the OP's premise is really a moot point. For some I suppose religion has no place if they never experienced the REAL thing. No matter, because of the faith of others the blessings are extended to the unbeliever as well. Be thankful because there is coming a time when you will be crying out for that God that you so love to rebel against. If God will always exist, there is no life without Him... Even when "He" isn't constantly being acknowledged and exalted (your way or anyone else's way). Religion doesn't make "him" any more real. If this was true and your Religion somehow kept God as "real", wouldn't this only further indicate your own lack of "faith" in God? Frankly, I find this idea of Man vs. God quite sophomoric. What is this? Football? Dude... the world doesn't rely on your religion as the only way to connect to God. I find your undertone of threat about the coming time of my crying out for He that I so love to rebel against really ludicrous. Shalom Tribo...Miles Hi my friend - it's amazing how surface history hides the truth of things behind the curtains huh? behind the scenes it was the most formidable and wealthy industrialist that saw Lincoln as a useable pawn to get done what they wanted done. it worked rather well don't you think? Lincoln - along with with some of the founding fathers such as B. franklin, Thomas Jefferson, etc. were Deist, they had no ties to yaweh, or a biblical god. that said - for sure the majority were christian or of biblical thought. but if you read Locke and Hume and even Jefferson and Lincoln themselves, you'll see that i'm correct. To many make mention of those i mention as to having read the bible, which is true, but not for the reasons christians do but as a handbook to morality. not for observence of the god in the book. |

Yes the Bible is a handbook to morality. Whats right and whats wrong.
The cheap labor exploits I can see that happening. It still is today and has for probally 40 or more years in the southwest and west farm land. They are doing the same thing with the Mexicans.. Shalom..Miles PS.. And I like our Fine Presidents remarks when backed in a corner about why we can't keep illegals out. Those farm jobs americans will not do. so it helps our economy.. HUMBUG |

Yes the Bible is a handbook to morality. Whats right and whats wrong. The cheap labor exploits I can see that happening. It still is today and has for probally 40 or more years in the southwest and west farm land. They are doing the same thing with the Mexicans.. Shalom..Miles PS..
