So JustAGuy, why will a man tell you that he is ready to settle down, but then when it gets close he changes his mind and freaks out, says he's not ready, and then a few days or weeks later he starts all over again, and repeats the process over and over?

Ummm....cold feet? Just plain indecisive? Trying to find out if you will still be there no matter how much he flip flops about it?

If you are considering taking him seriously in this instance, I would suggest that if it happens again, you simply move on ( as difficult as that may be ) because that would indicate to me that he isn't, in fact, ready at all.

Wish you could meet him and tell me what you think. Everyone that he works with thinks he is wonderful. Nice guy. When am I going to marry him? That type of thing. Some of them tell him to suck it up, quit acting like that and marry me.

Well...it's possible that he just buckled under that kind of pressure. Like I said. If it happens again, you may have to seriously question his motives. I wouldn't suggest cutting him off cold. Everyone deserves a second chance. Well...sometimes.
