Topic: Who Are You? | |
---|---|
I have been on here for awhile, since the end of Just say Hi.
I was surprised by all the avatar use and when i posed the question why people were doing it, most told me it was all in fun. Just not, I found out that i was talking to someone on here that was using a photo of some celebrity. I am apparently out of the loop since I had no idea. I had not plans of meeting him, so at the end of the day it doesn't matter. I do think that when someone does run across this they should report it right away and not assume everyone else knows. |

I must say I'm a bit confused by your post. Are you saying that when we run across an avatar that is not a 'true' picture of that person, we shouldr report it?

We had someone on here awhile back, pretending to be Michelle Trachtenberg. Probably wasn't really her, though. The point is, don't believe anything without some sort of confirmation, whatever that might mean to you. |

Good luck. There are no rules against not using your own photo...so therefore....there is nothing that can be done about it.
Ultimately it is everyone's own responsibility to assess for themselves who is real and who is not.... |

It is a choice, why take away a persons choice as what to use as their default pic. Nothing personal enderra, I dont think/feel like you. |

just because you see a real person pic doesn't mean it's the person who created the profile

It's just not realistic, in my opinion, we're free to change it as we like. There are days I put up just a random image (although not of another person) - but it's up to us to do as we please. As someone said too, it's up to us to decide who's real and who's fake. It is the internet for goodness sake.

Good luck. There are no rules against not using your own photo...so therefore....there is nothing that can be done about it. Ultimately it is everyone's own responsibility to assess for themselves who is real and who is not.... Add a new photo Photo Guidelines No suggestive photos, nudity, or obscene gestures No disturbing images or images of illegal activities No copyrighted material You should be in all photos Photos should be in .gif, .jpg, or .bmp format Make sure the filesize of the photo is not too large or it will not upload properly - They obviously do not uphold this rule. |
