Seriously, I wonder...I like to talk alot, and often get mixed messages...alot of women tell me they like to hear a man talk alot, others say no...I don't mean just talking about me...I talk about alot of things...topics vary as quick as a new though pops into my mind...and I tel people that if I start talking too much to hush me, and I will stand down???? Everyone is different. Some women like the strong silent type; some like the outgoing, loud men; some like guys that are funny, some like thinkers that rarely speak, others love the chatter boxes....Just start by finding common ground and go from there. And if you can't tell........Ask yourself this....Are they Yawning or checking their watch (or) looking around for someone to rescue them! Just be mindful of the situation and gauge from there. When you're having a conversation, there are times when you are going to be talking more, and times when she will be talking more... that's how any conversation is. It's an exchange. However, most of the time the exchange needs to be equal, otherwise it makes one of you feel awkward. Yeah, I can talk a lot... but if I have to carry the conversation and drag stuff outta ya... I'm not gonna be happy.
The only exception I can think of is when a woman is really upset... we had a bad day, someone scuffed our favorite pair of pumps, Suzie got the promotion we deserved, etc. If I'm pissed/upset, I want the guy to listen and nod and be sympathetic... although I'd imagine a guy wants the same from me if he is feeling that way. |

This is really difficult because no two women are the same. Some want chivalry, and then others want independence. Then you get the crazies who want both. ;) I think what women really want is a man/woman (whatever your preference be) to not be afraid to ask them what they want. And some are independently crazy....some guys too Yep...that door swings both ways and crazy is not gender specific. This all depends on the guy and the girl both...there isn't a set rule that will work for everyone! |
