is there....by chance....an INdependent party?

Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader, and Chuck Baldwin i believe are all third party candidates.

some alternate choices.

a kook, an idiot, and a crusader.

stack them up against what is on the ticket now.

I think not. It would just mean more unaceptable choices. There are enough of those on the ticket allready.

Where are all the patriots.

gettin kinda picky now aren't ya? They all publically agreed to bring up issues that aren't being brought up or addressed. Just like McCain and Obama agree NOT to bring them up. It's not about choosing the candidate, it's about addressing issues. It's not like they are gonna win. Public exposure what i am trying to talk about...

Count my vote here too!
Ron Paul has only suspended his candidacy.
Let's show Washington who's boss.
Haven't you fools seen enough?
How much more will it take before you open your eyes to see...
AMERICA NEEDS RON PAUL!!!!!

I love Jesse Ventura too! He cares about this country and the people.

Ron Paul has endorsed Chuck Baldwin of the Libertarian Party. Of course, as Ron is really a Libertarian. Chuck will be on the ballot. Ron won't unless you can write in, in your state.

Actually, if you really understand the voting process, the electoral will elect our next President. They will vote in January, only weeks preceding the Inaugeration. Many of our delegates are voting for RON PAUL!!!
It is very important that you find out who your delegates are (it is public info, names and email addresses of delegates), write them and request they vote for Ron Paul. Encourage everyone you know to do this. Ron Paul is America's Only HOPE!!

Truely, the cons who are in control, Organized Crime at its highest level, the Bush Administration, the FED, the CFR, the CIA and many others... have a plan. It is not in your best interest, it is sad to say. And John McCain is one of their puppets, no matter how much he tries to glaze it over. No matter how beautiful and convincing Ms. Palin is, talking of reform. They speak lies and their deception will entrap many... for a vote. How sad, to lose your freedoms, life and family... for a vote.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!! YOU HAVE BEEN SLEEPING FOR TOO LONG!!!

It's still better than McSame!! There is more hope.

I hope to learn alot more Friday night with the debates.

gonna keep my eyes open for the debates as well...flowerforyou

You don't have to worry about Obama becoming president me thinks. The congress is democratic now.

And i do have to ask you something.... if your vote only counted for publicity, not the election, who would you want more coverage of? Mcbama Mcsame, or someone who actually cares about this country and where it's headed?

Who would I want more coverage of? Equal for all!

The more facts the better.

Ventura's big mistake as Governor of Minnesota was that he tried to work with Dems and Republicans fairly. They snowed him. He is all the wiser now for it.
I was responding to someone else's post on the first page, who mentioned ventura, but I posted a reply, not a quote.
I do not know who Ron Paul would name as V.P.
But I absolutely love Ron Paul and spent some time with him in Minnesota durring the Campaign for Liberty and the Rally, durring the RNC.

Voting for Obama or McCain will be a mistake you will never forget. They are both in the pocket of Big Business and Big Government, namely CFR, and the FED. If you want to follow the puppets, go ahead and give them your votes.

But, there are alternative choices.
Ron Paul does endorse the Libertarian Party's candidate, Chuck Baldwin who is also of the Constitutionist Party.

Well actually I think with his pick for VP he showed he has more will to buck the politics as usual crowd more than the other candidates. Believe me... I was not thrilled with anyone until his choice of Palin. He made it a good race.

I have nothing bad to say about OBAMA except I don't agree with his "politics" & his posturings...like he's always running for something but never actually getting anything done. He's too green & he's running for the highest office in the land.

McCain actually was trying to bring to light the possible problems with Wall St. & was not listened to. It's all posted for people to see.

BTW... these attacks on Sarah Palin & the constant barrage of lies by the DEMS & their partisan media pals I find to be really low ball & has done NOTHING for us little guys.

DEMS talk about REP greed & being in the pocket of big buz, but then you have to ask...what have dems done for the working class? Why don't they see the negative affect of illegal immigration on the workforce & our tax dollars? I also think their push for natl. healthcare is a sell out of the workforce. It's all part of the paper tiger like some IOU (America) for bleeding you dry.

Are there things about REPS I don't like...of course! but when it comes to natl. security & money issues I believe they have a better handle on things than DEMS whose answer to everything is raise taxes. Like in my DEM state.

With all this being said I really hope we vote out EVERY incumbant & get all new blood in DC...then whoever the prez is won't really matter. I am putting my vote on McCain because with a new congress he could accomplish alot. If OBAMA wins I can only hope he will do the same.

Oh boy! There is so much more but I hope I gave you a few more things to think about.

Jax, that is the most sensible thing I have read.

But, as the US is a nation of 300million people getting agreement on who to have as the Prez is always going to be impossible.

But, if you dont vote, you dont have a right to whine about which idiot you get in.

But if you do vote, then you have spoken.

I personally dont think that voting for independant is a wasted vote.

If I remember rightly, didnt the independants' votes speak loudly by taking votes away from a "title contender" a while ago?

Whichever set of idiots you get in, within 4 years half the population will be unhappy with it, and within 6 years 75% of the population will be looking for a way of getting rid of him/her .... laugh

His pick of Palin showed he puts "McCain First," not country. He wanted Lieberman, and this cynical pick was to appease the one-issue evangelicals.

It's pathetic and is falling apart.

I was disappointed that McCain chose Palin. I wanted him to pick a more liberal/independent running mate. She was a good pick for his candidacy but I do think that he wound up getting jerked around by the far right constituency of the GOP. This concerns me in that it casts doubt on his ability to buck the party if he gets elected.

The election though is a complete toss up even as the economy tanks. The choice is not clear. McCain is too conservative, hot headed, disingenuous, and now he is no longer standing on his principles and Obama is too inexperienced, weak, full of hot air, and disingenuous. Watch Barack Hussein smirk when he thinks he is being cute or is hitting below the belt. If McCain wins, watch him embrace the media stonewalling and secrecy that now characterizes his campaign and Palin family values!

I'm afraid that without a clear choice where one candidate is much better than the other that the voting will break exactly along the ideological lines that got W into office - TWICE!

noway

Now, choose.

National Polls

NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl: Obama +2
LA Times/Bloomberg: Obama+4
FOX News: Obama +6
ABC/WP: Obama+9

It's time for McCain-Palin to stop hiding and to "Face the Nation" before they get avalanched. The stonewalling is making them look fearful and weak.

Well, I thought I had made my decision, but after talking with my father and reading up some more last night I'm back to square one.

Honestly, McCain is definitely not one of my choices. He is too much like Bush and I'm afraid will lead our country on the same path it's going down right now.

It's too bad Paul suspended his candidacy.

I was looking toward Chuck Baldwin because I like his take on the issues at hand, but I don't like his views about minorities, particularly women and 'where they belong' and his views on children.

"In another article, called "Feminizing America", Chuck Baldwin wrote that most children grow up "undisciplined and spoiled" because their mothers, rather than their fathers, "dictate their upbringing". "America's boys only know how to play girls' games. They have never had their noses bloodied or their butts bruised."[25]

He also wrote that "a large number of young girls today are themselves sexual predators" and asked "For example, is it proper for a 15-year-old girl (who is built like a 20-year-old) to show her endowment at will without expecting a natural reaction from the object of her entrapment? Are boys the only ones who must exercise self-restraint? Do the standards of decent behavior apply only to the male gender? Does a loose, immoral teenage girl bear any responsibility for her conduct and dress? Do the parents of this teenage Delilah bear any responsibility for her sluttish behavior and attire?""
I tried to pass it off as just a belief of his but it seems quite strong.

I heard alot about how Obama has alot of the same issues as McCain but I've also read that he wants to give tax breaks to the people, take away the tax breaks for the rich that never should have been put forth in the first place, work on minimizing illegal immigration, and give some breaks to small business to try to boost employment in this country.

I have much more reading to do, but I feel better knowing more about what is going on. So much controversy!

I know, kinda gives you a headache doesn't it? Check to see if your state acknowledges the name of the person you write in. If they do you culd always write in Ron Paul...
