Is there something that makes certain profiles stand out more than others or is it just me? what makes them pop up on the main page? and what not and how do they determine that? Besides all of those questions....what have you all noticed that makes profiles stand out?

Decent photos and description. Like when someone actually takes the time to put a certain polish on there profile.And last but not least honesty about themselves.

Sometimes it's a picture, not necessarily of the person's face or body, but sometimes, those "statement" photos. Or, like when I put up my "candy man" funny pic I'll get more pervs.

One thing that gets me to turn tail, though, are the profiles that are SO detailed and elaborate, massively wordy, have tons of poems or cliches listed, "want" lists, etc.

Polish you know like taking the time to make sure punctuation,spelling and grammar are proper so the profile is easier to read.

I need to do some work on my profiles on here and myspace. Im sick today so Im staying home, maybe Ill work on it.

Mine is 4000 pages long, very funny, contains an actual short story which will probably show up in my fifth book, and basically tells everyone to get lost. Not necessarily in that order.

I've gotten tons of e-mail about it, too, so it does what it's supposed to do. Except attract someone who is actually compatible, but I may need to come up with something better to do that....

I too dislike profiles that are packed with everything but the kitchen sink.I prefer to get to know someone by their posts or emails.I appreciate those who take the time to post a nice pic,Some have friends or family in the photo so please specify which one you are thanks.I tend to stay away from ones that say they are handsome,or that their friends say they are.You shouldn't have to convience me I have good eye sight lol

I would hope mine would stand out because i am real. Thats really me in the photo and me in the description.

i rely entirely on salacious repartee, innuendo, and semi-nude pics. that and incongruity.

some people find the foreign language intriguing. But i think most just say "Huh?" mostly i avoid CAPITALIZATION but sometimes i do it anyway.

i advertise in Poems, General, Sex & Dating, in the Diary, Religion Chat although i have been kind of godless lately.

My profile weeds out the stupid idiots... if they think I actually believe in unicorns I know they need a dunce cap in the corner... especially if they don't look up the terms they don't understand (I did suggest this in my narrative). This happens at least once daily.

I try to give a sense of my personality and have lots of photos, to show accurately, what I look like. Now if I could just get a good Look at Lexy...
