I just got this email from someone saying I'm attractive, so why do I use such an ugly photo for my primary.

I'm in an anime club. This was at an event to get the word out to people. You can't see the tank girl inspired tutu I'm wearying. I've got white and black yarnfalls in my hair and it's tied around the front with a fuzzy scarf and you can see the goggles.

I LIKE to see a wide variety of peoples photos of themselves to get a sense of their personality. So I provide a wide variety of fairly current and current photos of myself at different events to let people know a little bit about who I am.

Anyway, these are a few of my thoughts on pictures and honestly representing yourself to others.

1. I don't think it is ugly and it isn't always my first picture. I change it every week or every other week.

2. The people who don't like that picture often tell me the they like the ones that are more bland. That have no personality. That are usually done after getting my hair done after work, so I'm dressed to blend in, NOT be myself.

3. I'm a quirky, unique, off the wall individual. I'm not going to hide that and if people can't accept my fun pictures, they probably won't be able to accept who I am.

4. So it is better to be upfront and honest with people about who I am so people who only want what they think of as "normal" won't waste a bunch of time and then get made at me for somehow lying about who I am.

I color outside the lines. In fact I don't get why there ARE lines ...

The person who sent it isn't a bad person. But about 10 years older than me, and the pics give the impression of a 'good ole boy' western type.

Just a little out of touch with who I am. Since I grew up camping, horseback riding, hiking, rafting, up in the mountians of the Northwest, I'm find with that type.

But they usually don't get the other side of my personality and interests. So it usually doesn't work out. And the 10 year age difference makes him a little more out of touch with me. At least as far as the anime and other stuff go.

I just try to be fair and honest. I don't like it when people aren't up front with me. So I won't do it to others.

I suppose I shouldn't say that 10 yrs difference is too much. I have found a few people that I've completely connected with that were about that in either direction. Just not often. So I'm cautious.

Even if it's not your most "flattering" photo, it's your profile and you can post whatever pics you want, as long as they're not inappropiate. That was rude of that person to call the pic ugly.

I peeked (I think I'm still in stealth mode.....slap me now!.......bwahahahaha) and I think your photos are great! One could never say you are boring for sure. It's kind of cool to see all those sides of you. Rock on Moon!

My stealth mode doesn't seem to be working, so hopefully yours is.

Hmmm....I'm right about the same age as you....but I am COMPLETELY out of touch as far as anime goes. Does that mean I am old??? lol

Not much into anime (I'm a bugs bunny/beavis and butthead type of guy)...I think your pictures are fantastic, and you look good in them. Suppose if I knew more about anime I would be able to make the connection, but either way dress how you want.

Wear what makes you happy...as far as anime' goes, what you have on is pretty mild, actually. If they don't like it...too bad for them :)

First off i find it sexy and it shows off your artistic side

Hmm. You have cool stuff. Your pics are FUN. Your outfits could inspire...ahem...really good times. Your club sounds like a blast (I live in a small town, no artistic anything), and I would love to raid your closet. Any kind of statement that rude from a stranger is a perfect sign to start running in the other direction.
