Oh, boy...
"Is Sarah Palin qualified to be vice president? Most conservatives say yes, on the grounds that something that feels so good could not possibly be wrong. But a few commentators, like George Will, Charles Krauthammer, David Frum and Ross Douthat demur, suggesting in different ways that she is unready... Sarah Palin has many virtues. If you wanted someone to destroy a corrupt establishment, she’d be your woman. But the constructive act of governance is another matter. She has not been engaged in national issues, does not have a repertoire of historic patterns and, like President Bush, she seems to compensate for her lack of experience with brashness and excessive decisiveness." - David Brooks - NYT "McCain has turned ugly. His dishonesty would be unacceptable in any politician, but McCain has always set his own bar higher than most. He has contempt for most of his colleagues for that very reason: They lie. He tells the truth. He internalizes the code of the McCains -- his grandfather, his father: both admirals of the shining sea. He serves his country differently, that's all -- but just as honorably. No more, though... His opportunistic and irresponsible choice of Sarah Palin as his political heir -- the person in whose hands he would leave the country -- is a form of personal treason, a betrayal of all he once stood for. Palin, no matter what her other attributes, is shockingly unprepared to become president. McCain knows that. He means to win, which is all right; he means to win at all costs, which is not." - Richard Cohen - Washington Post |

That is the truth. If he becomes President, he has put our country in harms way by selecting her.

I can see none of our neocon friends wanted to touch this OP. The wheels are coming off...
I still think McCain could be replaced on the ticket before Nov. 4... Maybe Palin too. |

It's amazing how many conservatives are speaking out against McCain's choice of running mates, his negative ads and rapidly changing positions.
I hope people will start listening. ------------------------------------------------- I should know this and I do not. What would the process be if McCain were to pass away during the election season? Given his age it's a fair question I think. I suspect the republican national committee would nominate an alternative candidate or put Palin in McCain's place and allow her to nominate a new running mate? Anyone know the answer to this off-hand? I am fairly sick of doing research for other projects so I will let you all answer this haha |

Dubya will declare a state of emergency and "volunteer" for him and D!ck to "hold down the fort" until "they" can sort things out. It'd be easier if this were a dictatorship, just so long as I'm the dictator. Wonder who said that! LOL! Wait, thats not funny... |

Yes, another famous Bushism that.

"You see: my party could not field a Presidential candidate that has the substance, integrity and leadership to match that of Senator Obama. Our candidate is a compromise from a field of pathetic choices that half of us don't believe in, a candidate that can't match wits with his opponent or inspire and uplift the people as Senator Obama can. So, when faced with the prospects of running with a candidate that is outclassed and overwhelmed, our party resorts to that old maxim attributed to P.T. Barnum: a sucker is born every minute. And you, America, are that sucker!"

it's fun watching scared rabbits run down their rabbit hole and hide from thier predator with snipe scent all around the hole.
may I interest you with the facts? Mc Cain was written off by the neocons as evidenced by his lack of campaign funds. He was always considered as an "also ran" by the retardican hijackers. The only one that could make sense of this ticket is the man that has stumped for Mrs. Sarah Palin for the last few months, even though he has always thought she was the best pick for VP no matter who got the nod. No one has been paying attention to this little fact either. But then, Newt Gingrich's opinions aren't credible either, huh? I smell libtardican defeat. smells like Victory!!!!!! |

I disagree with his politics, but I respect Newt immensely. He's a brilliant guy.

Anyone know the answer to this off-hand? I am fairly sick of doing research for other projects so I will let you all answer this haha I'm looking at the bylaws of the RNC right now. Filling Vacancies in Nominations (a) The Republican National Committee is hereby authorized and empowered to fill any and all vacancies which may occur by reason of death, declination, or otherwise of the Republican candidate for President of the United States or the Republican candidate for Vice President of the United States, as nominated by the national convention, or the Republican National Committee may reconvene the national convention for the purpose of filling any such vacancies. (b) In voting under this rule, the Republican National Committee members representing any state shall be entitled to cast the same number of votes as said state was entitled to cast at the national convention. (c) In the event that the members of the Republican National Committee from any state shall not be in agreement in the casting of votes hereunder, the votes of such state shall be divided equally, including fractional votes, among the members of the Republican National Committee present or voting by proxy. (d) No candidate shall be chosen to fill any such vacancy except upon receiving a majority of the votes entitled to be cast in the election. |

The extremists wound themselves mortally without aid. Those that parade skewed and disengenuous stretches of the facts always get what they are looking for.....sniped!!!! I love it. They betray their future every time they take sides and attempt to color the truth and distract the American Public with their deceit. It culls the herd nicely. and they don't get it until it's too late for them. Meanwhile, those that focus on the true task at hand are given ample ammunition to defeat their opponents The looney left claims the bulk of that distinction this season in chasing ghosts in Palin's closet. bye bye nobama. no 2012 for him. |
