i need some help on this site it says someone replied to my e-mail by looking in the sent box but i have nothing when i look in my inbox....am i doing somthing wrong.....? Don't look in your sent just click on mail...

So many times I hear complaints on here that when sending emails people don't get a response... I personally try to respond to everyone if possible.. What makes it impossible.. If you email and start talking sexy talk, not what I'm looking for... If you email and just say "hi" ummmmmmmmm if that's all you have to say then we don't have much to talk about... Now I just got an email that gave me a very nice compliment and the email stated that they just felt it right to give me the compliment.. Sounds nice right? So in being courteous and gracious I respond with a "thank you very much"... Why is it now this person thinks a door is opened to IM??? I've seen other women say this is exactly why they don't respond, by responding with even a thank you at times makes people think a door is opened when it wasn't... Had he said in the original email that he wanted to talk/get to know me, etc then he should have also asked how I felt talking to men much younger than me.... I just don't get how people that don't answer are mean yet when they do it's assumed there's a door open for saying thank you to a compliment.. Does this mean I should stop saying thank you unless I'm interested in a conversation? that's why i don't answer most of the emails i get. you're right, they think a thank you means, please hit on me. sad, but true. as for the person who said women should get over it because it's a "dating site," there's an option for friends on here, too, so um, yeah, whatever. we're not all here to date.

I have found that if you give an inch they want a mile, so if I have no want to converse with someone I just don't reply. It's kinda like that guy at a bar who buys you a drink and you think "he's nice enough" then he starts talking and getting all "hey baby" with ya, then you can't get rid of him. I don't return emails, texts, or phone calls unless I want to talk...Yes, I'm selfish like that, but hey if I don't look out for me who will? exactly.
