Actually, 911 changed nothing in terms of our national discourse... We all took a few months and were civil to each other. That faded and now the gap between right and left is larger than ever. Well actually I think DEMS had 17 mths of bashing while REPS were silent. Now that the tables are turned & the race is on & all the DEM rhetorik is being blasted off the planet, DEMS call it bashing. LOL... I think some here are being sore losers. I actually take the time to listen to what McCain is saying & he has alot of good ideas. I think many Americans are also listening & liking what they are hearing...and not from pundants & rumor gossipers who are spreading lies.

Some people will believe anything Faux new says... Look, when freedom "goes on the march" it stops being a beacon of freedom and becomes a force for tyranny. You cannot spread "freedom" from behind a gun. Dropping bombs does not promote fuzzy feel goods. The only policy that is going to restore our standing in the world and make us "safe" (thats an illusion people, you could die tomorrow, just by crossing the street) is a foreign policy of Non-intervention. Removing ourselves from NATO, the WTO and all these sovereignty killing world government organizations and taking care of our own backyard is the right,moral and responsible thing. I hope everyone who supports the empire of Amerika has explained to their kids and grandkids the ideaology behind the dang near 10 trillion $$ debt that those who are creating it will never see paid. That debt, to pay for oil and sustain war, has made us far less safe as a nation than anything a foreign interest could ever do. Shoot, from the Soviets to Abe Lincoln to Thomas Jefferson all stated in one way or another that the destruction of this nation is going to come from within. The biggest issue is that we as Americans have allowed ourselves to be manipulated into these pathetic false paradigns: Right vs. Left, Your race vs. mine, Male vs. Female... IT'S damn sad and ludicrous too. Oh, and the Jesus camp thing, saw that on 60 mins. I wasn't bothered that much until the lady had all those kids pray to a cardboard cutout of Bush. Odd, I have a firefighter friend who was AT the WTC that day, and she has a lot more insight into the actual construction of the steel and how it was actually compromised. She actually gets very upset when people talk of bombs inside, because she says its entirely not true.

Odd, I have a firefighter friend who was AT the WTC that day, and she has a lot more insight into the actual construction of the steel and how it was actually compromised. She actually gets very upset when people talk of bombs inside, because she says its entirely not true. so are you saying this fireman is lieing and only looking for his five minuts of fame? he was on the record saying what he did. I do find it incredible those towers fell as they did. I would think that the weakest point in the structure would have been at the impact site and this would have the same type of effect as notching a tree and they would have fallen first in that direction. I find it verry hard to imagine how 3 buildings could collapse into their own footprints as they did.

First off if this Issac guy heard emergency radio's abuzz with reports of bomb detonations...so would a few thousand others...not to mention that every news organization was monitoring these same emergency channels and could never have "covered up"such a blatant supposition as that. Second, if "half the police and firemen" believe this was an inside job and with all the left wing, fringe conspiracy groups just dying to believe it's an inside job...then why haven't all of them gone to CNN and ABC? I guess some have nothing better to do than fantasize about evil government behind everything in life.

I find it verry hard to imagine how 3 buildings could collapse into their own footprints as they did. 2 reasons why buildings collapsed into their own foot print 1, trade towers had a different structural plan then most buildings of the time, where as the main support structure was in the middle of the building as opposed to the common building practice of having main support on sides and perimeter of the building. 2 After President Carter ordered all asbestos to be removed from public buildings, all fire proofing was removed from support structure and never replaced with any fire insulating protection allowing the steel to melt and buckle, imploding from collapse of stories upon each other.

Oh, man... It's Carter's fault? Fire retardant materials were blown off the support structure upon impact, allowing the steel to melt faster.
