Well, the first thing I want to do is set up a stem cell research program and use materials from abortion clinics, which will be free. Why do we spend millions of dollars on welfare for children that aren't cared for? (Diid I mention I was liberal.... hahaha)

This will cut our healthcare costs tremendously and the stem cell research will balance the existing budget. I'd love for healthcare to be on a sliding scale fee so that all of us can pay what we can afford.

There will be separate drug treatment centers as part of the correctional system, once I can get that policy ironed out. Drug addicts and dealers need to get treatment as well as serve their sentence.

As well, I want to rev up the foster care and adoption programs and increase participation. Our youth need loving families and to be in homes with families, not group homes. I'd like to get people involved in sponsership of low income families as well, to provide respite care and mentoring. This would be a tax deduction for families who participated and would benefit everyone involved. It might actually remove some stigma from the haves and have nots and let the kids see everyone together as equal and not better. Just different.

I think it could be great if they were both pumped up as equally acceptable. In all honesty, if we offered incentive programs for unwed mothers who were on the fence to adopt that might be an excellent way to sway to that side of the fence. I think if the mom has used drugs though we should let her have the abortion posthaste, as well as rape victims.
