(my late husband was a soldier)

for the record.....1. A Marine...on his way in Sept. to Iraq..

2.My other son is in his 1st yr of college..

I Honor them both....yet my student is only approx 2 hrs away.....

I fear for my Marines life and welbeing...

And am sick of being told he is not going to a dangerous area......

It's war...danger is everwere...PERIOD..

Thank u for the service from ur family to our country.....

Time for sleep as I willl be with my Marine early...we have places to be..and lots to talk about....

Ditto he will do fine and will be back in your arms in no time.

My nephew is suppose to be home by the end of this month first of Oct from Iraq!! Can't wait till he makes it back we have a big BBQ in the plans for him.

A Marine

A Marine is an American Hero,
when called he's prepared to go.

A Marine gives nothing but his all,
for his country he will take the fall.

When his country is in need,
he is there to take the lead.

America knows she can depend,
on her Marines to be there to defend.

A Marine has earned America's respect,

My Marine


His camouflage uniform brings out the green color of his eyes
I sit and watch him pack his bags and anticipate our goodbyes
He must stand the ground that freedom upholds
And endure engagements wherever they may unfold
It's hard to comprehend what he must do
He's fighting for his country, for me, and for you
He puts his life on the line, cause freedom isn't free
He's forced to experience things I may never have to see
He has the mind and body of a warrior, he's been taught to kill
He was trained to do these things, cause no one else will
I glance at him once more, he's one of the bravest men I've ever seen
But then again, he'd have to be, he's a United States Marine!

Defenders Of Dreams And Light

Between our dreams and the starlight,
your time-line wafts throughout
the eons of wars and peace-keeping strolls.
We hear you chanting a hopeful prayer,
your thoughts of dying young so well-expressed.

Between our dreams and the twilight,
you are transported on the wings of an Eagle
that fly you to much safer places
inside the memory where laughter reigns
far from the nightmare of untimely deaths.

Prayer For A Soldier

If ever there was a time for a prayer to be heard.
And now is the time, to hear every word.
Now that our boys called soldiers have gone,
Please march with them and keep them strong.
Stand beside them if they have to fight,
And in the darkness be their light.
Don’t desert them, march in their faith,
So they’ll be here when the morning breaks.

Bring them home safe and sound,
Across the waters to peaceful ground.
Home to loved ones, mother’s wives, daughters, sons,
Bless them all, each and every one.

They stand for freedom and make our flag true,
These boys called soldiers for the red, white and blue.
