I don’t think anyone is intentionally being mean or "bashing" mirror. We are debating and sometimes it gets a little rocky. On both sides of the issue. You might be reading too much in or taking it personally in some respect.
flowerforyou Naw. I dont really care.flowerforyou I was just wondering which was better for making impressions. Being anti-christ is more "rebellious", "hipper", but it seems like its been over done. Its seems kinda cliche to me.flowerforyou

You can't hate a fictional character either.

I hate Barbie dolls..... is that the same thing?

huh So is it cooler to bash Christ or not??huh Which is better?huh

From my point of view it really has nothing to do with Christ.

It has to do with a false dogmatic religion that tried to brainwash people into thinking that it was written by God.

The authors of the book absolutely want their followers to see comments about the religion as 'bashing Christ'.

That's what it's all about. They create this image of a baby Jesus being born of a vigin. Then living his life sin free and refusing to fall to temptation. And then giving his innocent life to save your soul because he loves you so very much.

And if you don't believe in this story and accept Christ as your savior then YOU CAN GO TO HELL!

You'll be labeled a rebellion sinner who is rejection God for you own selfish pride and lust for earthy things. You're a dispicable heathen!

I'm sorry Mirror, but the Bible just uses Jesus to turn believers against non-believers.

It's a cult.

And if you truly stop and ask yourself the following questions you should be able to see it.

1. Would a genuine loving all-wise God be like this?

2. Would men stoop to this kind of mental brutality to brainwash people into following their religion?

Peronally I don't believe that any truly all-wise loving God would be such a jerk. But I have no problem at all believing in #2.

I think that he honored her wish and she recieved what she desired. She did not want Jesus in her life - why would she now want to be with him in death?

When I first read it I accepted that as an answer, thinking as a selfish human, but are you telling me that God would prefer in his company those who worship him and do wrong then those who may or maynot and do right?

Are you saying that God is so egotistical that he only wants to be worshiped and not for us to do the right things in life?

I think repent is when someone has a change of heart. Meaning their way of thinking & therefore seeing situations etc is different from before. No one can possibly worship God if they have not been converted.

So I think your premise is wrong. Just saying...

You are not refused entrance into heaven because of ignorance - but because of rebellion.

Ok, so lets say that in some third world country that is taken over by other countries on a daily basis and the basics are barely there (ie...food, water, shelter) and a rebel troup comes in and kills a whole tribe or town, do those children who have never been exposed to Christianity refused in heaven? It says in the Bible the ONLY way to heaven is acceptance right?

As I understand it, you are only given a place in heaven if you accept Jesus as your savior.... If I don't know about Jesus does that mean I am not allowed in heaven?

Okay..there is an exception, depending on the age of the children. If they have not reached the age of understanding, then they are not held accountable and do go to heaven. (I cannot remember the source at the moment--maybe someone else knows?)
My recollection is that children under the age of 7 years are received into heaven without acceptance of Jesus as their Savior.
Otherwise, Jesus is the only way.

So a child that is 8 is SOL, or a child who is 14 with Downs syndrom is sent to hell due to their non worshiping of this God?

Again, simple answer is yes.
But don't think it's like being sent a note in grade school.."Do you like me? Check Yes or No".
God gives everyone chances to know Him. And those opportunities come in a variety of ways..from creation, someone sharing God with you, reading, all manners of understanding God. There are probably ways that I can't possibly imagine. So, even if you are young or challenged, He will find a way to reach you. Then you make the choice to believe or not.

I'm just trying to answer the OP's question the best that I can. I think she has good questions, questions that I completely understand. It is hard to grasp many religious concepts, no matter your beliefs. I'm not here trying to tell anybody what to believe or what is "correct", I'm just trying to inform. And what is wrong with learning from each other?

In the Bible it says that if you repent/get saved/ accept jesus as your saviour (however you want to put it) you will be allowed into heaven

and say Jeffrey Dahmer or John Wayne Gayce on his death bed was saved/repented/ accepted Jesus as his saviour is he in heaven?

and on the flip side would his victims if not given the chance to be saved/repent/accepted jesus as their saviour are they in hell?

Even in his last dying breath.... and if in his last dying breah is all the chance a man has left...... if he earnestly calls upon Jesus to save him...even in that last final breath..he is saved...cause it is not by works that a man is saved, but by grace.....and God knows the heart of that man calling upon Him for salvation....even in his last breath..God sees the heart...and God KNOWS if a man is serious.

And when man is saved, there is NO turning back....simply cause God ALSO steps in, and gives him a BRAND SPANKING NEW BORN AGAN SPIRIT.....which is what a christian means when he says, one becomes born again.

Thus change that comes about is NOT a mind thing..it is a spirt change..that comes from God.

That is why any "christiian" that says he ONCE was a christian and is no more, was NEVER a christiana to begin with.
EVER!!!

Why?

CAUSE WHEN A CHRISTIAN BECOMES A CHRISTIAN,HE IS NOT JOINING SOME RELIGION!!
NO!!!

HE IS JOINING JESUS...THAT IS WHAT BECOMING BORN AGAIN MEANS.... AND BELEIVE ME, WHEN ONE IS TRULY BORN AGAIN, HE KNOWS!!!

SO YES...EVEN IN HIS LAST DYING BREATH ,IF A MAN CALLS UPON JESUS, HE SHALL BE SAVED.
(No matter who that man is, or what he has done).

Hope this helps.

so what you are saying is "yes, yes infact the serial killer would be in heaven and his victim in hell"

Ya, I can't follow an egotistical God like that, that would do such a vengeful thing ....

I can go about my life knowing I made the right choice.

Lily, if the victim called upon Jesus while dying, he/she is saved too...and Lily ....that proves that God is not a vengeful God... but a God of tender mercies and loving kindness .....who will gives a man a chance...time after time after time....even in his/her last dying breath...if he/she means it.

Lily,

It's actually worse than that. It is stating that in addition to allowing into heaven a murderer, someone who destroyed lives and tortured victims, that it is allowing in someone who took the lives of god's own children. The idea that a Ted Bundy can kill multiple creations of god and then hang out in the afterlife with the maker of those victims strains is beyond scary. It would point to an unethical, immoral, and frighteningly sadistic god.

And what about the Catholics? Can they be absolved of just about anything? Whats up with that exactly? Can you murder someone, reveal this to a priest in the confessional and then he wont be able to turn you in? That cant be right?

I don't know where people get this crap. It sure as hell doesn't come from the Bible.

It's fundamentalist hate is what it is. Jesus would never support this crap.

Jesus didn't stand for hate. He stood for love.

It doesn't matter what a person believes. It's what's in their heart that matters. And Jesus even preached that himself.

People claim that you must accept Jesus as your savior to be saved. That's a total crock of bull even according to the story. According to the story Jesus himself said that there will be many who claim to know him but he will not acknowledge them.

These Christians who think it's up to them to save themselves by what they believe have it all wrong. That's not how you are 'saved' according to Christ anyway.

Christians have turned Jesus into a rubber idol doll of hate to beat over the heads of anyone who doesn't believe in the Bible.

It's bull crap. Jesus wouldn't even agree with them!

According to John, Jesus said the following:

Jesus: "And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world."

The Christians argue that if you continue to read on it becomes clear that Jesus implies that if he don't get you the Father will!

However, in the same gospel of John, John claims that Jesus said the following too:

Jesus: "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:"

So either Jesus is full of crap, or the Christians are full of crap.

Take your choice.

This is the problem with the doctrine. It's so self contradictory how can any Christian stand up and claim that it says anything concrete. That's a total crock right there.

Christians are supposed to be non-judgmental, but they sure as hell try to use Jesus to judge others!

They just run around hitting everyone over their head with their rubber Jesus dolls.

I don't think Jesus would appreciate the Christians who do this to be quite honest about it.

It's not up to any man to tell another man what Jesus was thinking.

In fact, it's a very tenet of Protestantism that NO MAN shall speak for Jesus. Only the Holy Spirit can do that! This is why they rejected Catholicism! They didn't want the Pope to be telling them what Jesus meant.

Well duh? Now look at what they are doing! They are all trying to stand up and be Paper Popes of Protestantism.

What a bunch of losers.

I'm sorry but this kind of hypocrisy just isn't funny anymore. It's quite disgusting actually. According to Jesus himself he said that he will not judge those who don't believe in him. Period. Amen.

Any Christian who tries to claim otherwise isn't just trying to be a Paper Pope but they are trying to play Jesus himself!

There seems to be a substantial amount of vested interest placed on people finding and "accepting" Jesus in some respect. Why should it cause so much anxiety and worry if someone chooses to not believe or believe in something else?

God gives man every man a chance to HEAR that JESUS IS THE ONE SENT ,TO SAVE MANKIND......

NOTICE !!!!
NO OTHER religion mentions a saviour.....ONLY christianity does.....and btw , christinaity was NEVER meant to be turned into a religion in the first place.....man did that!!

Jesus said, "I AM the WAY, the TRUTH, the LIGHT.....NO man comes to the Father BUT BY ME".

Believe this.....cause God don't lie.
God is giving every man a chance to hear...even on this forum.
