I think it's wrong to devote so much time to digging up and fabricating dirt against the opposition.

If Obama's supporters spent as much time promototing him as they do trying to destroy McCain and/or Palin I might even be convinced to vote for him

As much as i'd hate to admit, Obama supporters are just as blind as those who think McCain is the best thing since sliced bread. The thing is, i think mos McCain supporters support him because they don't want Obama in office. Most Obama supporters originally supported him because they don't want McCain in office. Kinda funny how that works huh? they focus on issues like religion, and age, "experience", the war in Iraq, etc. than they do the issues that will really cheange the U.S. I wish i didn't take this so seriously because i would be laughing my a$$ off at 95% of these political forums otherwise.

The truth is Obama isn't going to change anything big. Niether is McCain. Obama promises to pull the troops out of iraq in a phased strategic manner (sounds intelligent). But has no promises to actually bring them home. In fact, he will tell you our foreign policy needs to be changed, but doesn't mention what needs to be changed about it. McCain uses the war as his promotion tool. He is hoping to turn Iraq into another Korea. He has no real plans to work on the economy (just like Obama), and frankly he and Obama both have voting records that would make anyone think twice.

Try using a little "critical thinking". Basically when using logic instead of emotions to make your decisions you will logically make more logical decisions.... Now that's logical!

Ok, seriously guys, seperate church and state, religion shouldn't matter. Leave out their personal lives because that has NOTHING to do with how they govern. Both have voting records, both have a list of political beliefs behind them. Bounce one off the other. Also, try to look at the big issues. The FED controls our economy right? Maybe, just maybe, it's them not doing their job instead of the president. Maybe we need to do away with the FED because they create more problems then they solve. Maybe corruption wouldn't be such an issue if we didn't make it so easy for them by centralizing the government. Maybe we should call out our officials for not following the constitution.

Shrink the federal government, let states deal with their own taxes and money problems. Do away with federal programs like IRS to make it possible. You would see corruption start to fade. Next, do away with the department of homeland security because it is run by the same people that ignored the evidence that 9/11 was going to happen (yes before it happened). Bring troops home, from everywhere. Screw it all, time to revamp our security. The troops can handle our security. Than we should stop trying to run the world. The department of education is controling our schools, and forcing them to adopt policies like, no child left behind, which supposedly "improve" the education for the developmentally challenged at the expense of the majority of other students. just talk to a few teachers and they will tell you how the government is choking the life out of them, and not letting them "teach" due to all this manditory crap.

Here's my problem....the U.S. was ranked number 1 in education 20 years ago. Now its like number 12 or something. All these "changes" we've made over the last few years haven't helped. We need to go back to what worked and start from there.

Ok, almost done my rant. Both presidential candidates don't focus on the real problems we have. Like government overspending, or foreign policy, etc. When you read up on them they just get preachy on these matters. They say " this needs to be changed". This is vague, and it is supposed to play into your emotions, not your logic. McCain plays on fear, Obama plays on fear. But hey, what do i know....

Well, Ive come to realize that McCain is gonna win. Thats not the way I want it but thats the way its gonna be. Obama has too many factors working against him. Most of them unfairly. I think that a lot of Republicans are gonna be in for a rude awakening with John McCain when he gets in office.I dont think McCain is gonna tow the Republican party line.As far as Palin goes, the best I can tell she isnt really anything like they are making her out to be, but its like the saying "Perception is reality".

So, i ask you my friend, how is Obama much better?

When it comes to people like me there are a couple things Obama has against him... One, his followers are mostly biased and really have no real reason for following him, two, he has a great public speaking ability that can motivate an audience, this makes many worry as he does his best to not let us know where he stands, and oh yea, a third, (kinda ties in with number two), he has no substance inhis arguements. What he says sounds great, but his speeches stimulates emotion more than logic.

And yeah, i'm thinking McCain will win two, especially since he has a woman on his side now. I regret this as well since i would REALLY like to see a third party win, however ficticious it may be.

flowerforyou Palin now attends the Wasilla Bible Church. She was there on August 17, just days before entering the national spotlight. David Brickner, the founder of Jews for Jesus, was a speaker. He told congregants that terrorist attacks on Israel were God's "judgment" of Jews who haven't embraced Christianity. Brickner said, "Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. When a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment -- you can't miss it."

He is a democrat, that's how he gets most of his supporters. Then you have his speeches, which is how he gets almost all the rest. His speeches are emotional based. When you make a decision based on emotion you are being biased. When you choose someone just because they belong to a political party that is biased.

i liked the article. but I grew up in a Pentecostal church.
Obviously if you are devoted to God, this carries through with all things that you do in your life. Do u think, by reading that article and taking it completly at face value, that her religious views will negatively or positvely affect America???

When you react emotionally to an issue you are a liberal. When you stop and try to think of a solution you become a conservative
