He laid out the plans and it was all GOOD for the working people, not the corporations or oil companies.

True Duckie..Case in point, Bush..What has he done for this country?? Nothing...Why allow a carbon copy of Bush to lead this country further down the wrong path? I truly believe Obama could lead this country back in the right direction.

He has very little experiance, he could not lead a TV dinner out of a plastic bag

Exactly. He really was clear about what his plans were. His speech was one of the best I have heard in a long time.

Duckie, you should have watched the speech. I don't care if you are Republican or Democrat. It was a historic speech and very inspiring for ALL Americans.

i did and like with the other guy alls i hear is blah blah blah blah

how many times has a someone promised to do something before they were elected and they actually did it when they won?

they can make all the promises they want to it doesnt mean they are actually going to do it

Promises are one thing but a vision is another.

Kennedy laid out his vision, that we would put a man on the moon in 10 years.

The vision was fulfilled.

Obama set a vision that we will be off foreign oil in 10 years.

I think is the guy that can pull it off.

More than promises, Obama can INSPIRE people to do great things. Like Kennedy did with the space program.

Wow! Really? Can someone born in Kenya run for President of the US? I hear he's a Buddhist too... Or maybe a Hindu... I get so confused. Isn't he black? And scary too?

And how many millions of dollars have the corporations put into his coffers? You have no control over who becomes president. The corporations finance the candidate of their choice, not yours. Money talks. So, instead of the oil companies getting richer, now it will be the drug companies turn to cash in.

But...but ..but...I thought the right liked death and destruction?

Umm nm no more pissiness from me tonight...I happily have to say this.

Today I was a day that gladdened my heart.

When I was a little girl I visited my Uncle in Alabama. He was working at Red Stone Arsenal. My father, uncle and I were sent to the store to get some last minute dinner materials.

There were two lines. Colored and White in the grocery store. There was a young black woman behind the register in the colored check-out which was empty. A long line queued up in the white check-out. My father wasn't and isn't liberal...the guy is not full of peace love and understanding. He is practical and didn't want to stand in line. He moved to the empty colored line...what unfolded next was awful.

Those minutes that followed have been carried with me all my whole life.

Those minutes that followed made me despise hypocrites, racists and have set me on a path I am proud to walk.

Do I think Obama is the answer? Honestly I have serious doubts.

Am I proud to have lived to see that moment in the grocery store in Alabama and this moment tonight in Denver? Yes I am.

I'd go so far as to say tonight I am even more proud, damned proud to be a citizen of the United States of America.

what kind of plans? May i have a few examples?

I want to like the guy, expecially since he is a talented public speaker, but even after visiting his campaign website i really saw nothing that would give the us "change" he spoke of. I just wanna make sure all this hype isn't just because the man can inspire an audience with words that's all. I'm not keen on McCain, and im very wary of Obama. Honestly i think i'm leaning towards a third party. I want someone to shrink the federal government and give more power to the states. Get rid of the IRS and honestly you would see corruption decrease.
