16 years of marriage...26 years of living together total. We grew apart & both made our own choices and were affected seperately by life...a seperate life for him...me being 'Cinderella', never attending the ball, but keeping the home fires burning...mountain climbing & hiking trips for him...me caring for my aged mother...another woman for him...a major health crisis for me...10 months of weighing options for him...10 months of lies and deception for the other woman & I. Me regaining my health...him enjoying his cake with abandon...me realizing my own options...him wanting me to do the dirty work of ending the marriage...me deciding to live for me again! It sure was ugly, but I love a happy ending, don't you? good for you!!! he does not deserve you!!

So, What is the right way of ending a relationship? How about sitting me down face to face in a calm way telling me it is over due to blah blah versus all the other ways we have been dumped or before the relationship gets too serious still have the cojones to the other person that is not working out due to blah blah here is a good one how about the truth besides it is not you its me i want details!!

ive had a few.
i had the guy who faked his death seriously. we had met online and we were about to meet and i get an email from his mom saying im sorry hunny but he passed away last night. well i had a feeling he wasnt dead so i looked for his obit there wasnt one. so i checked his phone number and he had lied about his location it came back a completely diff area. so my dad goes email him and threaten him wtih the cops lol it worked. he confessed. that he didnt want us to meet because he had lied about his pics and all this. then my last ex and i we had gotten engaged and a few weeks later he said lets set the date. so we set the date and a few days later he started acting funny so he goes i need a break. i give him a break and he lies to me about having to go back to ohio to take care of his dying grandfather. well i get an email from him a day after he was suppose to get there saying hey i made it. well it aws at the same time he emailed me every day from work so i had my mom call his work and ask if he was there. sure enough he was there. i told him i wanted to know what was going on or get the hell out of my life. well i havnt heard from him since. lol i attract the crazy guys. as far as the right way be honest. say hey i dont like you anymore or i cant handle this or that that you do just be honest.. |

So no matter how ugly or shallow the truth is?
You would want the truth... I want to see this other hot babe that just move in next door and I don't want to be seen with you. It might ruin my chance. or.. You are insane. I don't like the things you do. I can't see us living together for any amount of time. or... I needed someone after my last relationship and you were there till I got to someone I am looking for. or... I don't like the way you give into your kids. I see that will be my problem in the future, if we have a long term relationship. I don't think you're willing to change your ways. or... After knowing you for awhile, I don't want to be in a Long Term Relationship with you. I know these are bad, but wouldn't a little white lie with a direct face to face communication be ok.. and throw in a "Let's be friends" knowing no one will contact each other... to soften the blow. |

I've been dumped twice by email. A coward's way out. I even called one guy before I read the email and we made plans to go out the next night! Talk about nerve!

I actualy haven't been dumped yet... But the worse break up I had was like 2 months ago I told him I couldnt deal with his sh*t anymore and that I found some things out about him that were awful.. and he called me some pretty awful names and said some awful things to me that now I look at myself and am disgusted and have almost no self esteem anymore..
