entertainment industry makes money

sex sells.

drugs make lotsa money.

people would rather spend money for these things than to fight a war because people are SELFISH.

The curtains we place in view to cover realistic events are the things you encounter every day. Do you encounter war?

no i dont see much war. although I have seen violence and the after effects of it.

i am greatly saddened for the whole middle east.
i am greatly saddened by the people of the world that are filled with hatred.

and see many americans just dont even give a crap. We wnat to sit and complain because gas is high or that mccain has too many houses or obama is black. none of this matters. its all hatred.

There is too much pain and suffering. Really.... if you have food in your belly and a roof over your head and air in your lungs and blood in your viens and two feet to walk and get around ........... you are doing great. Everything is fast paced no matter what you get to where your going........ .

The only things you "know" are the things they want you to know. The people who publish or direct the news can twist and spin all they want. Really...... be open for discussion. If you argue you are close minded and will not grow.

I agree. And do not stick your head up the butt of someone in power so they can do whatever they want with you and use you to further their power.

Its too late for alot of people.... the government has a head butt train miles long.

You left wing extemists are so totally delusional. It's entertainment for me at this point to even read your posts as none of them are based in reality.

From the Associated Press
July 6, 2008

MONTREAL -- The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program -- a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium -- reached this Canadian port Saturday, completing a secret U.S. operation that included an airlift from Baghdad and a voyage across two oceans.

The removal of about 550 tons of "yellowcake" -- the seed material for high-grade nuclear enrichment -- was a significant step toward closing the books on Hussein's nuclear legacy. It also brought relief to U.S. and Iraqi authorities who had worried that the cache would fall into the hands of insurgents or Shiites hoping to advance Iran's alleged nuclear ambitions.

Yellowcake alone is not considered potent enough for a "dirty bomb" -- a conventional explosive used to disperse radioactive material -- but it could cause widespread panic if incorporated in a blast. Yellowcake also can be enriched for use in reactors and, at higher levels, weapons.

Now that you have the facts do you really think that 5 years later Saddam wouldn't have been doing his damndest to enrich that stuff for use in bombs? If not you are plain old silly.

LIberals are not going to buy that, these liberal dip****s would defend hitler on here... They are so incapable of learning the truth, especially if it is something that goes against the Crap they preach...

It was brought to my attention this morning that some people have recently been using last month’s Iraqi government sale of Yellowcake uranium to a Canadian company as vindication for starting everyone’s favorite Middle East quagmire that’s totally going less awful now that most of the integrated neighborhoods in Iraq have been violently purged of one group or another.

But lets not get ahead of ourselves here… lets have a look at this story when the AP first ran it. For those who don’t want to read the whole thing, here’s the important part:

Tuwaitha and an adjacent research facility were well known for decades as the centerpiece of Saddam’s nuclear efforts.

Israeli warplanes bombed a reactor project at the site in 1981. Later, U.N. inspectors documented and safeguarded the yellowcake, which had been stored in aging drums and containers since before the 1991 Gulf War. There was no evidence of any yellowcake dating from after 1991, the official said.

Another thread for the pro Saddam loyalist and still no mention of Saddam's ten years of UN violations in which he embarrished the whole world. Folks, his regime was beyond BRUTAL. Did you like his sons too? Their was no outcry over his hanging or his sons death. That speaks volumes.

What kind of "outcry" did we allow them by that time??? We had already bombed the hell out of them, killed them in the streets, kicked in their doors, etc.... So what kind of outcry did you expect?

The outcries for those who have suffered at our hands is muffled by our own military and press but it is there to see if you look at the unbiased news.

Geezzz, Common. The outcry came from within in the form of a hanging but the outcry I was referring to should have been from all of the Arab countries. And from democracies. No one came to Saddam's defense. Except liberal left wing democrats.

Thats because the US did for the Saudis what they themselves could not do...take out a US puppet...Saddam had no friends in the middle east and he cut his own throat when he invaded Kuwait...the US had to choose between their well placed puppet or their (ie Bush Sr.'s) loyalty to the Royal family in Saudi Arabia....

5 years later he would have gotten his WMD back from his neighbors and started using them. Maybe he'd have nuke bombs now with all the yellow cake we found there tons & tons of it.

The Iraqi people would still be living under a ruthless dictator. There would be just as much if not more terrorist training taking place in Iraq. Saddam would have continued to thumb his nose at all of the UN resolutions he was in violation of and his people would have suffered even more under the sanctions that would have been imposed.

We didnt wait for the Soviet Union to go away...We WON the cold war thanks to the leadership of Ronald Reagan.

Libz R dum

Not as dumb as the bushies and rightwingers. The yellow cake found was not the right grade to be used for bombs. Get the information straight and that may help you. The UN resolutions are only valid if Bush thinks they are because he violates them himself whenever he gets ready. Get it straight.

Yes, but it could be produced into the grade needed for weapons.
A lot of people have different kitchen cleaners at their house, and the person with the know how and will can make bombs out of them.

Noone really knows what they yellowcake was for.

Yet you not only tolerate but embrace socialistic ideals from a candidate who is clearly not experienced enough to lead. Not only that but his ideals are bad for our country and will take you, me and every American further away from being free and closer to being citizens of a socialist republic controlled by an all powerful government.

The yellow cake was for the development of nukes. If you think he had it for any other reason you are as foolish as I thought.

duh as I have informed you over and over again it was from Iraqs program in 1991 and it was under lock and key by nuclear regalatory commision and safe guarded. at first I didnt blame you for being mis informed as Fox news ran that story as if it was something new but at this point after directing you to many sources to search for yourself I simply think your being hard headed

I never said it did. The point is, why is it there for 17 + years if they have no need for it there? As for it being under lock and key and all of it being the same, I dont know. All I said is I dont know what it was for, period.

because up until the invasion of Kuwait, Saddam was the lapdog of the USA...you DO know that the weapons fired upon American soldiers and aimed at Israel by Saddam's troops were American made, right..?? You are aware of that small fact, right? right?.....so, the US wasnt really all that concerned about Saddam's yellow cake crap and happy to let the UN handle the oversight...

Most of the problems we are facing in America are not due to the war in Iraq. We had them brewing and in the works for quite some time now, its just coming to a head so to speak.

Was for Afghanistan, making a parking lot out of it and all
only for Iraq in the sense, we should have nuked their ass back into the stone age the first time around.
