bigsmile I care about economy, jobs, fighting poverty etc. as the most important. I hate most of the social issues like family values and abortion and drugs and gay marriage because I think they are totally fake and I dont care to impose my values on other people. Im more worried about feeding people and putting a roof over their heads.Values never fed anybody.bigsmile

Honestly, I know more than a few liberal Christians who also strongly beleive in the separation of church and state. They vote, they read and they work in their communities.

I know not all Christians are right wing wingnuts who want to impose their religious views on others but sometimes it's easy to get that impression.

I eagerly await the posts of some of my board favorites here.

If we insist

on making the distinction

of left and right

of liberal and conservative

so be it

:liberals are for people

conservatives are for business

allowing conservatives to rule the country

is like letting the horse

take the rider

where the horse wants to go

to fill his belly

with green stuff

But if this great nation of ours

is for the people

and by the people

and of the people

we must grab the reins again

or lose our direction

forevermore

The direction we are being taken

will certainly take us

over the cliff

or we can turn around

and together

climb the mountain

Not religious nor any political party. But I think that things should start at home. Parents taking responsibility for thier action and their childrens also. A good spanking only hurts for a little bit, but the memory last a lifetime. Correct the laws for controlling children. And then we can move on to other problems in this country. Maybe then the country can be straitened out. Too many laws allowing to many groups the control over our lives. My PO.

In our age there is no such thing as 'keeping out of politics.' All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia.

That's a line from an old song. Most people know the George Thorogood & The Destroyers version.

OK, so be it....if that is what you want to be considered to be.....but I would never call someone a heathen in the terms that the 'norm' considers the word to be.....sad2

You vote your conscience, we vote ours. How does that make us "wingnuts", while you appear to believe yourself "normal".
