I think this is probably the wrong thread for that. The attacks have been minimal in fact. Mainly just jokes. A lot of interesting information imparted however.

I have not been online much lately... visiting with Family out of state... & I have not been reading this thread... just a few comments here and there... i just noticed it this morning actually... and felt inspired to express a few spiritual observations along the way... I have a good friend Will < Wiccan Cowboy...>  & he says that he loves and respects me for loving him, & for accepting him... even though he has different beliefs than i do...  I have friends who are of every faith and belief... and i try to love them for who they are as long as their beliefs don't harm anyone else..  I seek for peace and even though I believe in Christ I try to let people know that I look for things that unite us rather than divide us for there are so many things that make us soo close and sooo connected... and there are tooo many things to divide us...  and that is what causes dissension and war...  I come in peace to show that we really are not all that different and who is < anyone > to be the judge...?  The Bible says that For all have sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of God... I am a Masterpiece in Progress... for I want to be clean, & Holy & as pure as the finest of Gold... I believe in a Force, a Creator and Intelligence much greater than me...who loves me every much , & even though i don't see the whole picture... I know that I am loved and cared for , as is every living thing on this planet .. I have the Holy Spirit within me, however I am only part of the Whole and I happen to choose Light over darkness.... and i hope to shed light and wisdom and maybe be able to help others who are lost and hurting, lonely or troubled and help if i can to bring them into the Light ...

I saw this and I had to share: http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news1007/zerowiccans.html I think someone is still living in the middle ages. I am pretty sure that is a spoof website. I have seen them before through work and that's got all the indicators of being fake. However, Baptists do tend to be the denomination, more often than not, to lead similar crusades against anything non-Christian. I would say that yes that is definitely a spoof website and a caricature of extreme fundamentalist baptist churches. It takes some of the ridiculous practices and beliefs of these churches and exaggerates them to extreme in order to illustrate how ridiculous they are. And yet there is a bit of truth in their depiction of what some baptists churches do practice, for example praying for the destruction or death of someone. I knew a church that actually did that to a tavern owner in their area because they did not approve of alcohol and parties. Some of the people in the church quit the church when they did not agree with that kind of praying. JB and while i'm at it.... what is with this so called talking in tongues crap that is just jibberish and can't be understood by anyone, true pentecost tongue can be understood by all, in there language, in their dialect, if you have a mexican, an american, a frenchman, a russian, whatever side by side they will all understand it in their tongue or else it is just gobbledy gook nonsense, the ones that jump around and scream and holler and shake cause they are taken hold of by the spirit, Puhleeeze, those that think you should play with snakes, c'mon, and my favorite pet peeve, give us your money, "if you send us a 500.00 donation you will immediately recieve all these blessings, One penny given from the heart is worth far more than that 500 in Gods eyes. Not to take anything away from peoples blessings recieved when tithing from the heart, but you can't buy blessings. God knows the heart and mind and knows if you are trying to. If you get a verse here and there and the rest is spent asking or begging for money, that is where their heart is, True bible teaching ministries are around but hard to find. A holier than thou, one upmanship attitude will drive people away, people. |

JB yes, Sharp Shooter... that is so true... i am not a member of any one specific denomination...and never will be... and it is sad & absolutely tragic... that there are so many people  wolves in sheep's clothing  who would try to corrupt & taint the good name of Jesus, by misusing Him and all that He lived & died.. and all that He stands for ... for their own sick, selfish and extremely carnal gain... |

Some Babtist are waaaaaaay out there and no wonder they can't get people in to church, I mean, they even called Harry Potter the work of the Devil, I am Christian and that is the dumbest load of crap I ever heard in my life, same with the no dancing, no music, women cant wear pants, if your divorced you got to sit in back, I mean Pleeeeeaaase, don't let some of these ill informed so called people of God drive you away from Christ. Some of our worst enemies are so called christians themselves It doesn't matter to me what religion you are. There are extremists in every group and I don't generalize about a particular religion because of what a few people do or say. besides, most people can't even agree with others on their shared religion. Christians, Muslims, Pagans........within all relgious systems you will find that very few of the followers agree on many different parts of their faith. |
