I have seen more hate in liberals than my fellow Republicans, we just get branded as Hateful.

Liberals just get angry at everything, It is all Americas fault, every issue in the world, it is all our fault and GWB fault, that is what you all want us all to believe because you want the US loving Americans to be ashamed of their country. It is not going to happen....

I for one am proud of my country, and I will stand by it no matter what and who is president.

You have it wrong, there is nothing wrong with being proud but one must own up to ones mistakes, of which we have many many to own up to thanks to this administration.

Hate comes in many forms. The "accepted" prejudice of those Americans who call themselves conservatives is the most dangerous because they hide it behind "legitimate" sounding causes. Their favorites right now are the illegals and anyone who challenges this administration on the illegal war they started. These are still forms of hatred no matter how well hidden they are.

I agree that there are hateful liberals also so I am not being biased.

As I recall, it was the Democraps that were all against Civil Rights in the 60's...

Well, everyone is entitled to their Opinions in morals in this world and if it doesn't fit in to the liberal ideology, then you all cry fowl and racism. I think Liberals are very judgmental, especially towards republicans, liberals have no problem labeling us as "Dumb Rednecks" right off that bat.

I don't use the term "rednecks", have people in the family that consider it a compliment of some kind anyway but that is besides the point.

Conservatives and republicans are NOT the moral center of this country, despite their self proclaimed ideal that they are. I call prejudice and racism whenever I see it, regardless to who is doing it. I have found that for some, when I point it out, they realize they have been doing something that is taught and it is prejudice. Others prefer to hate so those will not learn anything when I point it out.

Either way wrong is wrong. I don't care what they call themselves. I have noticed that it seems more rampant in those who consider themselves conservative. Although I have been shown that not all conservatives are this way so I cannot generalize with all conservatives, just like you cannot generalize all liberals are whatever you said.

why doesnt bill clinton own up to the mistake of not having the guts to do anything about terrism after our military was hit several times during his adminisration and one time on our own soil. instead he left the problem for the next president.and that he has tried to fight.for that bush is a criminal?also it is not biggitry to believe gay lifestyle is wrong.if so god himself is a biggot. but then if one doesnt believe in god or the bibles teaching and is not afraid to be judged as a nation then it doesnt matter.i think abortion is murder. but then you cant legislate morality.most the laws are based on christian teaching.but for some reason its become ok to legislate immorality.why?some dont believe in any morales.

If congress wants to spend time doing that, then so be it. Apologizing for slavery does not fix any of the residual problems in this country from the slavery anyway. Prejudice and discrimination are the real problems. Some people in this country cannot let it go. They still want to treat black folks as second class citizens using reverse discrimination and welfare as the excuse to continue to be ignorant asses.

if descrimination is such a problem as it was in the 60s,70s,80s,and 90s.then how in the world can a black man run for president?there is great progress being made and i think like most its for the best.the race card is not the best card to play anymore.it would be crazy to do away with government aid to low income that have been put in that situation because of catastophic things. such as disability.but not to non american illegals.will other countrys do that?i feel the same way towards corporate welfare also.thats not what our governments job is. its to defend us.

how in the world can a black man run for president?

.... probably because ...

White people are projected to no longer be in the majority in the United States by the year 2042 - eight years sooner than previous projections.

The US Census Bureau's latest figures - based on birth, death and immigration rates - suggest that minorities will soon make up 55% of the population.

Hispanics who now make up about 15% will, it says, account for 30% by 2050.

It is projected that black people will make up 15%, a small increase, while Asians will grow from 4% to 9%.

White non-Hispanics currently make up about two-thirds of the population, but only 55% of those are aged under five.

The Republicans supported it more.

Incidentally, why do people keep perpetuating the misconception that back in the 1960s the Republicans of today were the Democrats, and the Democrats were the Republicans.

I am not a Republican, but since when has the Republican Party every been pro Socialist? Favoring bigger government, higher taxes, and social programs?

Are you crazy?

If anything the Republican Party back in the 60s was even more conservative. Most Republican in the 1960s were fiscally conservative to the point they wanted to even scrap Social Security!

If anything you should say the Democrats of today are the Socialist Party USA of the 1960s, and the Libertarians of today are the Republicans of the 1960s.

Numbers for the House of Representative:

39% of Democrats voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
20% of Republicans voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

So, nearly twice as many Democrats voted against the Civil rights Act than Republicans!

And you are also forgetting that back in the 1960s Democrats voted against the Civil Rights Act because they were racists, and the Republicans that did voted against the Civil Rights Act did so because they were against expanding the power of the Federal Government, and felt that such an expansion violated the Constitution.

The Republicans who voted against it where generally Goldwater Republicans who felt the best way to combat segregation and discrimination was through economic means. The same way Dr. King did with the bus boycott.

But the answer is: The Republican passed the Civil Rights Act!

Considering there were groups in the U.S. who were treated far worse than American blacks during slavery, I think the diversity-oriented mongrels in this thread should put their foot in their mouth and stop playing to the ethnic entrepreneurs who propagate such lies regarding American "racism." I put "racism" in quotes because it is largely a manufactured, exploitative tool used to divide and conquer. Obama has done his fair share in this election, but he's been leagues better than America's favorite bacterial infection: Jesse Jackson.

There is no more racism in America anymore than there is in Norway, China, or Kyrgyzstan. In fact, America is probably one of the most tolerant nations on Earth.
