**** Breaking in with my own thought on the subject****
I think you either ARE nice or NOT NICE or just who you are. Can't someone be "nice" without being a sap? I can be a grumpy opinionated S.O.B., But people who know me, would say I'm a nice guy. Trust me, That doesn't make me a spineless pushover. |

I think being self aware is key. You must see what sorts of qualities you possess based on how they mesh with your beliefs and values. Do you live by the Golden Rule? Do you feel good about who you are and decisions you've made at the end of the day? Do you take feedback from others, placing value on it based on what you know of the person giving said feedback? Do you strive to learn more about who you are, work on weaknesses and develop strenths further?
People who live in their own little world and are set in their ways rarely are happy in life or relationships. If you are self aware, you know who you are, why you are, and work to keep things in balance while becoming a better person. |

Of course, we should all know what our qualities are, both good and bad. And there's nothing wrong with drawing attention to your good points either, as long as they're true and honest and not "faked" to make you seem to be something your'e not but think other people think you should be. I actually really like when people think that they arn't as good at something then they really are. I make good friends with people like that, and I've always been attracted to humble women. |

I love that phrase "kill'em with kindness".
Anyone who has ever worked any retail knows the passive aggressive smile used on an irate customer. You laugh inside knowing that they can never prove that you are being "sarcastically nice". Being in THAT type of control is far from being a pushover. |

Beach~ Totally agree. Being kind and being nice are polar opposites in my opinion.
There are very strong, quiet assertive men out there, and being outgoing or outspoken is so not the only way to show confidence or self awareness. Shy men or less loquacious men can be equally confident. The strong, silent type. Thanks for bringing that up. |

Cheers on that post lilith in particular the closing sentence. It's always suspect to me when one "professes" to have "any" quality. Someone who is confident does not need to say "that". Likewise with "I have a great sense of humor". Rarely is any claim followed by any evidence. I know this because I am very intelligent. but but, I have a great sense of humor, |

A nice guy doesn't complain about being nice, it is a contradiction in terms. Do you hear people complain about being rich, or beautiful, or loyal, or anyother characteristic? God, I'm so beautiful I can't find a man, if I werent' so beautiful I would have a man, all the ugly girls have men, God cursed me to be so beautiful,.... Do we see how ridiculous this statement is? Now replace beautiful with nice.... |

A.) There is something that the people that you are attracted to don't find appealing, or B.) You are a jerk.under the guise of "nice" or C.) You haven't found that person who is the yin to your yang....END OF STORY. But to use your qualities as an excuse is a self defeating attitude, and quite frankly I don't find self defeatest appealing nor do any other ladies of quality on here. |

When
everytime i think of you my body shakes everytime i see you my knees grow weak and everytime i'm with you i dont want the time to end.
