I don't really think the world is going to end on 12/12/12. I think it's just another way for the doom and gloom folks to try to spread panic. It's kinda like people who have to have something to complain about or else they just aren't happy.

It kinda reminds me of the whole Y2K uproar. I was living in Tennessee at the time, and my ex g/f's mother was stashing water and canned goods in the crawlspace under their house.

I kept telling her that nothing massive was going to happen, but she simply refused to think anything but the worst.

When Y2K came and passed without the whole world shutting down, I was there to tell her that it was ok for her to be so paranoid and that I just choose not to be.
