no if his battery was good it would still start if it were the alternator it would run for a bit and then die. .....have you tried using like an additive like dry gas incase of a clogged line?

What do you mean? need more infolaugh

It trys to,but wont kick over.

It's probably not the alternator then... If it was it would kill the battery eventually.

Humm are you sure it is not the Alternator?

Hi Txs, ill have to take it in and go from theresad2 Money i don't need to spend.

Well if you have a Walmart near by you can take it to there Automotive shop they will test it for free and tell you what the problem is at least they do here. Call and confirm to make sure they offer it there. Hey it is much cheaper that way had my truck checked out that way when I had it. They checked the Alternator and the Battier for me did not cost anything for them to check it. And I did not have them fix it either. Mine was the Alternator my son replaced it in a matter of minutes.

I wish we had one out here. I'm like 45 min away from any big town. Thanks for the info though:smile:

You could have depris or water in your gas and that would cause the engine to clog... Dry gas or engine cleaner you put right in your tank if it's that it is way cheaper... just a couple bucks.

Humm well when I had the same problem it would not kick in now we could jump it and it would start right up. But once you killed it it might and might not start back up. So that is why I took it to Walmart had to jump it off take it up there and they checked it and found out it was the Alternator. Found out later the Alarm System was what was causing the Alternator go bad.

Hm, don't think that will work for me, but wouldn't heart to try.

Dry gas will "clean" up water in the system. It might be a clogged fuel line and not the injectors.

yeah id say check your lines and i know with some older fords like mine when i first got it it would have problems starting after it rained because of the distributor getting wet for the gasket going bad.

Well the cheapest way to eliminate and to find the problem is to take it to one of the local stations let them put it on the machine and it will tell you what is wrong. Easiest and normally the cheapest way to go about it.bigsmile
