No Europe is nothing like it! Even the Swiss Alps cant compare to the Rockies, and Ive see the Alps!. Europe has no Grand Canyon, not that I saw. But then you have never been able to straddle two tectonic plates in the US. This is funny. You really have no idea do you??? I never saw anywhere you could drive a tank of gas out of a car before you see another gas station like you can in Texas.

Lets face it, you have never been anywhere that the army didnt send you, or you took a break from the army to go visit. You mean in Mongolia, or Africa? What Steppes are you trying to pass off as Europe? Ive been to quite a feww countries in Europe. 2 1/2 years is quite a bit for such a small place with an over-population problem. I never saw anywhere in Europe that you could stand in an Ocean of grain and see nothing else for as far as you could see.
Thats because we dont horde it, and it would repulse me to think of the starving millions on your doorstep that needed that food. But that's a social conscience for you. Come on now! You're grasping for straws. America is the most Charitable country on Earth. Hell we feed half the world. Europe destroyed their natural resources long ago, chopped down their forests and over populated the land! Ive been there. There is no comparisson. Or step back in time in the Appalachians with the Cherokee Indians.
No, we go to our own history, not to someone elses - and we can track our history back over 1000 years .. yours is a little over 220 ... You must me the world war battle grounds or some of the other numerous wars fought across Europe. Maybe your talking about the many American soldier cemetaries that dot the lanndscape. Or Forest where you could hike for days and never see another human!
Wrong again ... try Scandinavia (crossing three countries to do it) Grasping again. Nothing near to whats here. Or stand on the shores of Lakes and Rivers you cant see across on a good day.
Zzzzz The Bodensee, Lake Constance, Ijselmeer ... The Bodensee, Lake Constance,- These are the Same Lakes. Small in comparisson to the Great Lakes. Then again they are the largest in the world. Ijselmeer- formed when the Netherlands Diked off an inland bay from the N Sea in 1932. Doesnt really qualify now does it? I could Go on and on for days and still not mention something.
You really should come visit for about 20 yrs and see a little of it, or 5 yrs and see a tiny bit of it! We even have Moose, Elk, and Wild Mt Goats. Wolf, Coyote, and otter! Do you have any idea about the wildlife in Europe? We also have wolf, bears, otter, mountain goats ... But the difference is that I have seen the majority of these things ... you havent. Ijselmeer So how you can say they are not worth it, is beyond me. Are you silly or what? If I look out the door Im apt to see a Black Bear in the yard. You really need to visit a little while!! You could come right here to WNC and never see whats here if you stayed 10 yrs!! |
