This pic is from a joke last night in one of the threads.....My nick name on here (from some of the guys) was Naked Kitty because of a picture of a cat like this----a hairless cat. But I have pics up of me, my fiance and I, and jokes that I have with people on here......and yes TwilightsTwin, I think I still have your pony up. Ah, you still have my pony??? You sweetheart!

I am new to the site, about a week now..I have noticed a lot of people put everything and the kitchen sink in there pic profiles except THEIR PIC?? Why?? I know this topic has probably been beat to death like a dead horse but I am just curious how anyone thinks someone will go on a date with someone that won't even show who they are... If you are insecure so what someone will always find you attractive in some shape or form so don't hide behind stupid picks... OK I am stepping down off my soap box and running for cover!! Hello & Welcome While it is not true for all, I do know that for some people they woudl rathe ryou get to know who they are, to express interest in them as a person.. once that has been established, they always offer to send you a pic. Others, due to their profession also prefer to keep their face off the net... and once contact has been establish, they send a pic. Now.. I am not naive.. and there are a vast amount of less than noble reasons why some people do not post a pic.. but I wanted to point out that at times, there is a very logical & valid reason. OK I mean people who have NO pics of themselves but pics of everything else... I don't see a problem with having different pics of different things on your profile as long as you have pics of yourself as well... There is that more clear, geez LOL You mean the blue boxes? A what?? Explanation please??  When someone doesn't have any pictures on thier profile and they post on the threads, it shows a blue box with "ask me for a photo" written on it....I think it says that, I never was one... They seem to be the most vocal about people not telling the truth about themselves in their pictures....oh and lack of info in the profiles. |

Some of the people who don't have pics, will
exchange pics with someone once they have gotton to know them. They want privacy, and some are afraid their pics will be used for bad reasons or copied over the net. Then we have some who lie about their looks, or are faking who they are. Then we have some who just feel like not posting a pic cause they do not want to. Simple as that. We call them blue boxes. They used to be blue boxes when the site was just JSH. I have talked with blue boxes, and have blue box friends. Does'nt bother me in the least. If I were to ever go out on a date with one- I would ask for a pic to see what they look like. |
