i've worked very hard to remain underexposed. however, i've tried to respond to each email i've been sent.

No it does not obligate them .. but the foremost reason to respond i would say is common courtsy now is that too much to want .or do people just get ignored in person if they talk to you and they are not your type.?

What I try to do is respond once with a polite statement of disinterest. After that, nothing. I find very often some of the men will just push and push for a further explanation or to drag it out. That is uncalled for.

They should have a "form email" that is a polite brush off so that way you can glance at the profile, make your decision and if its a nay, then just hit the reply that has this pre typed letter. That would probably be helpful to the receivers but even more infuriating to the senders
