Topic: good news to me,not so good news to others

so after pt i was talking to the recruiters and they told me that theres a huge chance that after infantry training i will be shipped off to iraq or afghanistan(is that spelled right),just wanted to let you know

I'm a military brat...but I don't want you to go over seas. It's good to see the other side of the world...props on that. But I don't want you to go.

just make sure you are fully mentally prepared for it i am,i waited nearly 2 years after i really wanted to join, back then i wasnt mentally prepared,but i am more than ready now

Aug 5th..1 yr....Sept...My Marine will be in Iraq... I don't believe for a minute that at just 20 yrs or younger that is enough time and training.... not a damned thing I can do but pray and hope for his safety...

I served in the end of the 'Nam era, was in the jungle, etc. Just know before you go whether you intend to be a career person. The choices that you make, over there, can be hard. You will be changed. Decide to be at home within yourself, after that, because you can never go back to being who you are now. You represent us, so go with God.
