{{{space}}} be safe as well I am proud to know you and others like you are protecting us so after pt i was talking to the recruiters and they told me that theres a huge chance that after infantry training i will be shipped off to iraq or afghanistan(is that spelled right),just wanted to let you know I'll see ya there in April.....

Prayers for you and your son thanx everyone for your words,and your support were where u at for boot camp?? Are u at Camp L for Infantry.. Thats were my son is.. Right now he is in Cali for his intence training to prepare for his deployment..

nice, my cousin's fiance just got out of the Marines, also was infantry thats cool,seems also alot of younger people are joining the military,they took us to san diego to do our physical and there was a 16 year old girl!,and with so many people joining they put my in the delayed entry program

hell yeah! there's too many people in my branch, and over the next couple years they're gonna be dropping right around 10,000 people! and a 16 year old girl? jesus! talk about an early decision! but in anycase, take care of yerself over there bro, you've got some balls man

Much love to fellow infantry regardless of branch. I did two tours in Afghanistan before I got out of the Army and nothing anyone can say will prepare you for what you are going to have t do. I hope you get Iraq because no one should ever have to go to the 'Stan, that place was a nightmare. Just stay focused on your training and stay f*cking HYDRATED. By the by are you at Pendleton? Cause I have a friend there and he just got orders for Iraq. Either way, good luck and watch your six.

Aug 5th..1 yr....Sept...My Marine will be in Iraq... I don't believe for a minute that at just 20 yrs or younger that is enough time and training.... not a damned thing I can do but pray and hope for his safety... I do not know how I would deal with a son leaving for active .. God bless you both
