Subject: VISITI don't know each of your personal political convictions, and apologize if anyone finds this offensive. I thought it was important enough to share.

This is Jeff's first hand view of Senator Obama.

Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to "The War Zone". I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.
As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the Clam Shell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with
weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-in-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is.
What you see in the news is all fake.

It's politics, not so much a matter of "who's the better candidate" as "the lesser of the two evils"

if you think that republicans only give tax breaks to the rich you are being foolish. I got a tax break with Bush and I am not rich although Obama with all of his millions IS and will probably consider me to be.

This country is going to catch on to the media bias and all of the ugly real life truths about Obama. He really just wants to be president and does not seem to care in the slightest about you.

well i make somewhere around 70.000 a year, i did not get tax break. plus lets not forget how much oil companies got a tax break.

With those tax breaks the oil companies can afford to hire people who need work. They are also the #1 spenders when it come to the R&D of alternative fuel sources. Doesnt everyone want to be free from imported energy/oil?

I'd rather the monies be spent by those who are willing to spend it on the research needed to get the price of energy down. It's a whole lot better than taking that money and shoving it down some special interest rat hole where we will never see it again.

Anyone who wants can see the pictures of him eating breakfast with the troops at Bagram airbase and read the articles and comments about it from the Officers at Bagram released by the Pentagon!

You Republicans cant find anything legit to say about Obama so you make crap up!
Pitiful and desperate is what your Party represents.
I cant believe anyone would vote for a candidate from such a desperate and dirty party!laugh laugh laugh

Earlier in the day during breakfast with soldiers at Camp Eggers, a heavily fortified military base in the city, Obama praised the U.S. troops.

“To see young people like this who are doing such excellent work, with so much dedication ... it makes you feel good about the country,” Obama said.

“I want to make sure that everybody back home understands how much pride people take in their work here and how much sacrifice people are making. It is outstanding,” he said in video footage from the military obtained by The Associated Press.

Lt. Col. Dave Johnson, a U.S. military spokesman, said Obama and other visiting senators met with many soldiers and sailors from their respective constituencies.

“The food was great, but the company was better,” Johnson said.

At the bottom of that e-mail is a partial disclaimer.

[Note: There are some that are disputing the validity of this email. I am reasonably certain that it is legit. Further, while I have seen a few photos of Senator Obama visiting with troops at Camp Eggers in Kabul, I have not seen any DoD photos of the Senator at Bagram (with troops).]

Then another poster,

Update: Below is a report from the PAO in Camp Eggers, Afghanistan, about the visit of Senator Barak Obama.

US Army Central Command Photo of Senator Obama meeting with troops at Camp Eggers, Afghanistan.

KABUL, Afghanistan – Camp Eggers service members enjoyed breakfast with a Congressional delegation including Senators Barack Obama, D-Ill., Jack Reed, D-R.I. and Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. during their visit, July 20, to Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan headquarters.

The visit was part of the delegation’s trip to American forces commands in central and eastern Afghanistan. In Kabul the delegation was briefed by Gen. David McKiernan, International Security Assistance Force commanding general, and Gen. Maj. Gen. Robert Cone, CSTC-A commanding general.

Throughout their stops at Bagram and Jalalabad Air Fields and in Kabul, the senators met with service members from their respective states.

Why are the Republicans always making up lies?

Ive busted a couple here myself, three in three days to be exact!

Pitiful, and yet people still side with their party.
