I'm looking forward to seeing this film as well, the last film "Batman Begins" was not as dark as it could have been, but the scenes with the Tumbler were cool. In this film, the Tumbler does get destroyed sadly.... Did i give something away? i hope not. there's alot about the plot that is hidden that i don't know. I hope they really put some effort into this film, alot of time and money was invested. it is kind of eerie though, seeing the late Heath Ledger play the Joker. Nicholson will always have been known for nailing the role of the Joker perfectly. In fact, he did ask to play the part of the character in the new film, but was then told that he was "too old". There are only a couple other actors that i know of that could do that role and i didn't think that Ledger was one of them, seeing what kind of films that he recently starred in. We'll see...

I saw a two minute clip and Ledger looked incredible in the part! The thing I like is that they got rid of the Corniness surrounding the comic book story....

Don't know if you remember but Wayne Industries had two tumblers (according to the movie)...

Theres too much hype surrounding the movie for me to like it. I'm sure its a good movie, but like every time a new Harry Potter movie came out people went berserk and i still won't watch those movies. laugh

Jack Nicholoson just played himself. Sorry, but he just comes across as a real a$$. Ledger has the talent but, sometimes his focus wasn't always there. Ultimately, we will see. It would be nice if he is able to get this role just right so, he is remember for more than his death.

Dammit......ignore mainstream. It is true that mainstream usually likes the really crappy stuff like the spiderman movies but, sometimes mainstream gets it right too. Go see the damn movies, my friend smile2 They are really good for the most part. My only major beef is they cut too much out. They should have done multiple movies to cover some the books.

Take Care & I hope we all enjoy this movie!!!!!

I've never been much of a batman fan really. Its some really rich guy whos totally emo and thinks everything he does is perfect, yet those who don't go his way are evil. (Kinda like Death Note eh?)

I still want my Gambit/Rogue movie damnit!

I just could not get into the animated series. I really don't like the "new" stylized character drawers. Somehow, they seem to lack personality but, that just me.

Okay...screw you guys, I went and saw it ...
Heath Ledger was great! Oh and he was FAR better than Jack!!
The movie picked up right where the last one left off (They know how to do things RIGHT)!!!
I'm not much of a Batman fan, but these two are different (they're not "corny")

Wow....Check this out:

FRIDAY 10:30PM: It looks like The Dark Knight's Friday opening is even bigger than first thought, according to early numbers -- around $64M-$65M in North American gross from a record-setting wide release of 4,366 theaters. That includes the $18.5M in midnight-to-3AM shows from a smaller pool of 3,040 venues. Now Warner Bros is claiming the biggest midnight show ever (better than the $16.9M set by 2005's Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith then playing in 2,915 venues), and the biggest single day ever (better than the $59.8M set by May 4, 2007's Spider-Man 3 in 4,252 venues, including midnight shows).
