I thought there were some much deeper moral questions being asked in the film? Dent stating near the beginning that you either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain was perfect foreshadowing. Joker forced Batman to make some decisions and Gotham's citizens had to do the same. They had to ask themselves to what extent they wanted vigilante justice. I think Nolan wanted the message to hit and the questions to be asked. But whatever--I really liked it. yes...the message came across very clear. but with that alone, it cannot make a movie awesome. I loved how the joker took control and literally controlled everyone...without anyone knowing the master plan but himself. without the joker, this movie would have been a movie with a man in a rubber suit. |

The Dark Knight is possibly the most overrated movie of all time.Batman Begins was better. Jack made a better Joker than Heath Ledger. Also, what's the deal with Batman's crazy machine voice?
People need to stop buying into the hype. This movie is rated #1 on the IMDB top 250, which is a joke of a list anyway...but c'mon.....seriously #1? I could rattle off a list of 50 films that are far better than Dark Knight. And yes....Ironman was much better too. |

And yes....Ironman was much better too. i totally agree with you man. its the hype that drives the box-office! and yes, how the hell did this movie make #1 on IMDB's top 250?! i don't think it should even be considered on the list! i can't say jack was a better joker, but heath definitely played the character well... |

Just got back from seeing The Dark Knight...kick a$$ movie! Heath Ledger did an awesome job as the joker. I think they should have left two-face alive and made an opening for another movie though...

As an avid movie goer...and critic..yes critic. I give this movie a thumbs up, a 10, and a oscar to kieth. This is better than any role he has ever peformed in. He sold me on what the comics portrayed when reading them. All the previous Batmans had a catoon feel. This movie went for realism, and it approached it very softly from the last Batmans. Which was a good idea, even though I could of used a bit more of the realism, it still managed to acomplish it's goal. Bravo to the late great kieth, and God bless. As I am sure he would of loved to see that he sold more than any other movie on opening night!
 And one more thing, if he were to still be alive, Jack....move over their is a new kid in town. Hats off!

I saw the movie last night and it was GREAT!!!
I liked most of the Batman movies, except for Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, that was just watching Superman 3 and 4 all over again. Personally I liked the route that movie went and Heath did a great job as the Joker. Jack Nicolson's Joker was more like the one you would see in the 60's TV show, this one Deffenitly Brought him into a new light. |

I saw the movie the weekend it was released.. not impressed..
Although I agree Heath Ledger was by far the best joker...he did an amazing job... |
