Mr Belushi : You are perfectly right . The Administration and media propaganda made a robot from the American public . Even when they kill innocent people they do not admit to tyranny , murders ,and injustice . When you talk to them as if you are talking to a wall . Shame and disgrace . |

I'll explain it to you Belushi. In the American culture all they understand is power. They talk a lot about honor but they equate honor with power They only respect those that have more power than them. Those that are weaker are seen as inferior and worthy of disrespect. They equate respect with fear and they interpret respect/fear as a sign of weakness. If you understand this about the American culture the actions of the American government begin to make sense.

The shame and disgrace. Humm I normally don't post in this area for it gives me a headache reading all this arguing. But....... I must disagree with your statement about what the American People think about the foreign people or per-say Canadians that you all speak of here. I do not think any different of the Canadians then I do anyone here. For in reality we were all transplanted here and who is to say who is any better then the next person. As far as the War I don't like it and I wish we could bring them all home. I have a nephew in Iraq right now he has about 2 months left before he comes home. I pray he makes it back all in one piece. But in no way no matter what I think about the war. Would I not think about standing behind the troops. I respect them for what they do and what they give up. And I think the least we could do is stand behind them. Gyspy I do hope your son if he decides to join that he does not have to go to Iraq I could not even image what those young men go through. But if he does decide to go tell him this Texan said THANK YOU!! STAY SAFE AND COME HOME!! |

give us an example of what you would do instead of just talk trash about what supposedly we did wrong.
Its very easy. Leave ... I think I may have said that before too. So, I would suggest you take your own advice, and read the post before replying. Leave Iraq. Leave Afghanistan. What gives the govts of the US & the UK the rights to invade countries, depose leaders and then try and re-establish order. Nothing. Guerilla tactics? I may have a little bit of experience in this. But that doesnt matter. It has nothing to do with guerilla tactics it has to do with human psychology. You and your girlfriend are having the mother of all arguments, and if I broke into your house, and started rummaging through your girlfriend's underwear drawer and you caught me. You would be less than pleased. So you try and stop me. But I am 7 foot tall and 350lbs and I have a bat, which, I am not adverse to using on you. So you go for your gun. I take it off you and then beat you some more Then I force you and your g/f downstairs and threaten to beat the sh1t out of you unless she makes me breakfast. So you go for a sharp knife and you wound me. Not badly, but enough to make me really angry. So I not only beat you, but your g/f gets a kicking too. How do you feel now? Angry? Debased? Full of hate at the complete lack of respect I am showing for your g/f What would you like me to do? Die? Leave you and your girlfriend alone to sort out your differences? Of course you would. I am an unwelcome intruder in your home. This is the analogy that has the US/UK as a 7foot brute with no respect. Why would you go for a gun when I have beaten you already? Why the knife, knowing how unstable I am. The reason is that you have nothing but contempt for me and you think you can take me on. But you cannot. That doesnt stop you from trying though. You have nothing to lose but your life. Human psychology. We are nothing more than animals who act on instinct. Both the US and the UK has problems of its own. Its social systems are shot, there are millions of people starving in civilised cities. IN YOUR CITIES! Spend the money on a well-trained defence force. Like Switzerland. So no one can invade you They dont have terrorism problems. Because they dont invade Stop involving yourself in other countries disputes. Very poor analogy my friend. You would at first have to be physically threatened by our dispute if you were to use this in the correct context. That then changes the story a bit. All we were doing by invading Afghan was retaliating against an attack on our soil. I suppose if you wanted to get political we should have worked closer with their government in eliminating the taliban threat. However, that would still involve doing something about it. Now if we do nothing in response to our attacks how is that being wise as far as psychology and discouraging the violence cast against American citizens? I thank you for your insight... I do like that you have placed more emphasis in defense. One of the swiss's biggest is the fact that just about everyone there is armed and knows how to use their weapons. It would also be helpful for us, if our government wasn't so intent on expanding, and importing trade while exporting jobs. This leaves our borders wide open. 90%+ of the people trying to get into to the U.S. illegally are successful. (So much for homeland security.) I have long believed that it would be helpful to cut back on big government since it's too much to manage (Ron Paul is the shizzle). This is why i have no problem with pulling out given that we actually do something about our policies, and philosophies. We really should concentrate on ourselves more. The dems would disagree though. They want more government programs, and more money to be thrown at things. And it seems as though the repubs don't care what happens anymore. But for certain situations recourse must take place. But once again, it is good to look at things from a different perspective. And btw, i thnk one of the reasons why this is dragging on so long is the fact that we were being too political with matters. If you have a threat, eliminate it. If the country doesn want us on their soil, they'd better get their "problems" under control and/or ask for our help. |

I thank you for your insight.. Problem with that is that the Taliban were the government of the time, or controlled it. That's why there's a new government in Afghanistan. They are not kids . They are ADULTS . When you kill INNOCENT people , there is absolutely no justification for that at all . Just put yourself in the victims shoes . No excuses for murder in the first degree .
A soldier is not a murderer! Someone sets out to kill me or members of a unit I serve with then they are fair game. It is, always has been, an unfortunate part of war that innocents do get killed but soldiers do not target innocents. |

Words posted here are just the person typings OPINION.
Belushi, my son HAS been there TWICE. He came home proud & willing to go again. I know may serving in all branches that are proud to do their job. They are proud of their country & their misssion. Speak you opinions, but know there is still a strong AMERICA & we have bailed everyother countries butt out, many times. We will keep doing that & making this world a better place. We are not perfect, but we have & will always win. America, imperfect as she is, I am proud of her. Opinion of old sage. |
