A guy with a four wheel drive and a chain pulled it out of the ditch for me. And last night I was almost stuck in the yard. This morning the scrap dealer hauled off the old 1990 Lumina. It still had half a tank of gas in it. Went to the tax assessor and they took it off my books. Then went to the insurance where I took Kathy's car off my insurance and told me I wasn't supposed to pay for another's insurance as it was my own. Who knew? So I got a month's insurance until I can start paying in six month installments. Insurance will be cheaper for just one vehicle. Hopefully, it will get better when I get my refunds. Beautiful weather, today. The mud is drying up.

That is the truth of the matter for sure. I had some money in the bank for the satellite. I had them put it on my new Arvest card. Today, I checked and they hadn't taken any money out for the satellite. I needed gas because the low fuel guage came on. Now I have gas but the satellite might get turned off. Have to make it to work or I will have no money. Have to take of the needs first then the wants. Simple economics. I can't always depend on mom to bail me out when I am short on funds. It is getting important to keep a prudent reserve. Sure can't live on a champagne diet on a beer income. Not that I drink except for non-alcoholic stuff.

I am glad he is doing better, hon. I went to pick up a member for a meeting. He asked me to be his sponsor. I told him I didn't want to be a sponsor because I would rather be his friend. If I was his sponsor I would feel obligated to tell him like it is with drugs and alcohol. He is still working on absolute abstinence. He has given up on the meth and two weeks ago admitted he has some pot. He told me that this friendly female offered him some and he couldn't turn it down. He says he doesn't know if she offered it to him, again if he could turn it down. He is so wrapped up into saving the world that he isn't concerned about saving himself. I gave him a scripture to think about: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these other things will be added unto you." See, I never read about Jesus smoking a joint and then giving the sermon on the mount. Self-righteousness and God's righteous are two different things in my book.

Glad I took the middle bench seat out of the van. More room for groceries and today I had room to pick up that computer desk one of the nurses gave me. It slid sideways in and didn't even bother Michele as we picked up on the way back from Bull Shoals. Picked up JJ's Gateway computer to see if I could fix it. I called her to tell her that I would need her administrative password to do a Windows XP repair. She is still looking for it. She didn't want me to do a format because she has so many pictures saved on it. Been collecting these plastic ice cream shovels in different colors.

Been working on a old Gateway computer for a friend. It is installing service pack 3 for WinXP. She was worried about losing all of her pictures and files. I converted the fat32 to ntfs and cleaned out her browsing, temporary internet files, cookies and history. It seems to be working good for only 256mb of RAM.
