Topic: Prepare for war against unbelievers (Qur'an 8:60) | |
---|---|
The Qur'an contains detailed instructions and examples of how to meet unbelievers.
The first instruction is that they should be called to Islam; in fact, the Qur'an says you cannot wage war against unbelievers until you have preached to them. The second instruction is that if they do not convert to Islam, then, they must be fought. The third instruction is that if they surrender, or convert, then you must stop waging war. The final instruction is that if they do not convert or surrender, then they must be killed. This is the optimum route for Islamist expansion: A tidal wave of war, subjugation and conversion. Very similar to Christianity. There is another provision in the Qur'an though, because sometimes Muslims aren't in a position to wage war. On this occasion, the examples and teachings of the Qur'an are that Muslims may make deals with their enemies, with unbelievers, engage in truces and the like in order to recuperate and gain strength. The overriding concern is the fight against unbelievers; if this can't be achieved then it is ok to strategically lay low. To achieve more sneaky victories. Many more verses continue the theme: Unbelievers are the utmost evil, and to fight them you can therefore use any means. In fact, Muslims have to use any means they can to convert or subjugate nonbelievers. Now, many Muslims in Western countries don't seem to be doing this! Thank goodness! Not all Muslims, however, know the Quran very well. Many do not read it; many cannot read it (many Muslims are not Arabs) Many Muslims live in the West peacefully, legally and morally. They do not heed the Qur'anic verses urging them to prepare for war against unbelievers (Qur'an 8:60), nor the verses telling them to increase their strength so that they can convert or subjugate those around them. Most Muslims merely want, like everyone else, to live their lives in peace, with their friends, to raise families and win stable employment. Just like most Christians The Christian Bible endorses slavery, female subjugation to males, and violence against female pagans and homosexuals ... So it is no different to the Qu'ran in its extremism Many Muslims in Muslim countries such as Afghanistan, African Islamic countries such as Algeria, Western Muslim communities and the like, do not speak Arabic and definitely cannot read or write the classical Arabic that the Qur'an is written in. A Pakistani Muslim once proudly told me that he had memorized large sections of the Qur'an, and planned to buy a translation one day so that he could find out exactly what it was saying. Such instances are common to a degree that may surprise most non-Muslims. So, if there are so many similarities between Islam and christianity, why do we deny their rights to peacefully co-exist? |

I was once told by a Muslim that the Quran can only be read in Arabic. I said well that means I would have to learn a whole language first. He answered yes that would help.
Fortunately, I receieved a translated one in English from a Turkish friend. He said this is (approximately)the same as the Arabic one. His said it is better then nothing so start reading it and your life will change. I said okay thanks for the heads up. I must say that they are fun stories to read though. I just am not prepared to do a pilgrimage in Mecca. To answer the question I just don't understand either why the two cannot peacefully coexist. Perhaps Muslims also use their religion as a lifestyle, government body in some countries, and as a reason to live a more clean life acceptable to God. and Christians well they don't enforce it into the governments to run the parliament. Although it seems like it is started to change as many religious organizations use fear to influence people to believe (and this is not said to accuse your religion whoever else is reading this and is a dedicated believer in the religious belief system), but just as an observation. |

I wish ... lol I considered a career in journalism, as I had a friend who wrote for a national paper in the UK. But she said I was too cynical to be a journalist.
