Because you are letting fear control your actions. It is easy. Just walk up to the next guy you meet and say hello. Don't look for the prettiest guys and don't worry too much about finding someone this week. Just start by saying hello to everyone you meet. Nothing will be more scary or more exciting than that 10 seconds after you commit to the conversation.
