Looks like we may be living together soon. She has a 9 year old daughter who has also really taken to me. She has never gotten AIDS and is told by doctors she is a miracle for having it for 20 years...

this is what im saying, if shes had hiv for 20 years, pretty soon it will develop into aids, and then she will die. shes lucky to have not developed aids in 20 years, so be aware that soon it will be aids.

I think you are a wonderful person for looking beyond this. The scary part is that she may actually get AIDS and you will have the heartache of living through it.

follow your hearts and follow medical precautions.

No need for specifics on how she became HIV positive, but I see HIV, like cancer and other uncurable disease. The disease does not dictate the person. JMO

No doubt if this is true she needs to feel loved like anyone else. But You can do that without having an intimate relationship. So why not be friends and be supportive with out putting yourself in harms way. Think before you dive in so early.

i have transported hiv patients and it is very emotional when i do so because some of them are morbid but most of the time they are the most positive person you can meet!!!

I don't think you are right about this Debbie. I would advise he look into it first hand and get answers rather than here on a bulletin board.

Go ask a doctor in the field.

No daughter does not have it. She had a boyfriend at 17 which was a drug user. He had it and gave it to her. Also her ex husband did not get it through unprotected sex. That is reassuring as well. Apparently its not as easily spread from female to male as it is male to female.

a lot of HIV patients die before it turns into AIDS. if it doesnt it will always turn into AIDS at some point. ive saw many die of full blown AIDS after 12 years or so

Hey you all, I met a girl online. After our first date she admitted she liked me but confessed she is HIV Positive and has been for 20 years. She thought I would run like many others have. I told her I could deal with it and it has now after 4 weeks turned into a serious relationship. Any thoughts or comments welcomed...

if shes been hiv posotive for 20 years, you are aware things will go down hill and soon it will develop into AIDS.

You can be HIV positive and never gets AIDS
