How is having a partner decompensate into Schizophrenia your fault? Its sad, is all.

she had the schizophrenia when I married her, and I didn't have the proper understanding of the consequences...so it's my fault for getting married in the first place.

Doesn't really matter how high my IQ is, if I can't do anything about something like this...

yes, I agree. there are many things that a high IQ does not compensate for.

Nowadays, with the proper medication, you'd never guess some people had Schizophrenia. Times have changed. Many can be productive and lead fulfilling lives.

And if so, did the womenfolk kill it?

If they take it. She didn't feel like it...which, I understand, is a part of the disease. I dosed her food anyhow. But I couldn't do that but once a day.

It's only dead if you let it die in you.

It's no dead, it's just not in everyone. Those of us who still have it don't have it simply to date a girl. We hold it to a higher reason. In my expierence chivalry is an easy thing to take advantage of. Most men find that its extreamly hard to keep up. So they give up, because simply put, chivalry isn't worth it, to just date someone. The people that are left, are the ones who's reasons are independant of the things that make it hard to uphold. I hold to the old code so to speak. I got the scars on my heart to prove it. I'd rather be single and with honor then with the hottest girl and without. I dont think i'm all that special though. There are others out there. I have plenty of friends who are the same.
