Sorry funch no tour with saying the words..You can't take the tour unless you accept Jesus into your heart....thats the gig.....

You forgot the part where they actually have to mean it with all their heart and soul. It isn't some magic trick where you say the words and *poof* your "saved" with a golden ticket into the promised land. Sorry....it isn't that simple.

Well that's a given...I can't imagine saying it and not wanting....

Unfortunately feralcatlady, that's not always a given. Some people will say the prayer without ever believing the words they are saying and with no intentions of ever making a change. For what is repentance without the intention of change?

I guess they could.....not sure why? Because if it doesn't come from your heart its a mute point...





DISCLAIMER: If you say it and it doesn't come from your heart and a wanted desire to have a relationship with Jesus Christ then it's a no go....

doesn't a "wanted desire" just means you just have to have a desire to want to go through the motions and even this doesn't mean that it's truely from the heart..because going through the motions may only induce you to believe it's from the heart but how can one be sure it is ...so "feralcatlady" can you explain how one can tell it's truely from the heart

Yes funches yes I can. When you have the desire and want to know that you can't or don't want to do it on your own anymore. Then the desire to let the Lord in will be there. I can only speak for myself and what happen with me. But I do remember it like it was yesterday. I went next door to borrow something and my neighbors were Christians. I asked them what it meant to be born again. I did not understand this concept.

Not that you don't but for others that may be reading.

Born again means, regenerated or transformed are synonymous with spiritual rebirth — i.e. salvation. It means having a personal faith in Jesus Christ. It is also described as renewal, resurgence or return.

I told my neighbors that I did feel that God had been calling to me. Now let me explain further. At this time my mother was dying and on several occasions I asked God to show me that he was real...On both occasions he showed me just that. So when I asked Jesus into my heart I was not only ready but was having personal experiences with the Savior. I then went on a mission and for the next year I did noting but get into the word (Bible) During this time he was showing me many many things. I could not get enough I learned about every religion that I could get my hands on. I studied with many people from many denominations.

So yes when it is pulling on your heart and the Lord speaks to your heart.....You know it....and to deny it.....just is not an option. Now this doesn't mean it happens like this for everyone it is just what happen with me.

"feralcatlady' I can only suggest that your mother's situation may have been one of the major factors as to why you may believe that Jesus is in your heart ...but that's all I can comment on because the argument would turn more emotional than logical and out of respect for you and your mother that wouldn't be the right thing to do

It's just the truth...and I wasn't that distraught to imagine for whatever reason what happen....it was real as I am typing this to you. It was the emotional that made me reach out....but it was God reaching out that was the key....I asked he showed...how much more beautiful can it be.....If I told you what he did you would get chills....I promise you....and that wasn't the point. My point was that I reached out to God....He
answered the rest is history........

I honestly do not believe in heaven and hell . Therefore I do not waste time thinking about life after death . I see death as a very peaceful moment resembling the time when you get much anesthetic to sleep and have your surgery done .

so far the only good thing about Death is whenever it comes you will be dead ...but whatever death it is or wherever one goes after death if anywhere ..it guaranteed to be one hell of an adventure

in body yes.....in spirit no way jose. And I am looking forward to spending my eternity with the Father, the Son.......ahhhh ye will
