it God doesn't get bored then explain why he has the "need" to create lesser creatures than himself to worship him ? ...but I know your religion forbids you to answer that question so therefore I will answer it for you...

any God with a "need" to create means he gets bored with what he created which means he will eventually get bored with humans and create some other alien species if he hasn't already done that and it will be another war in Heaven but instead of God fighting angels he will be fighting humans

as for doing drugs...isn't wine considered as a drug or an alcoholic beverage ..and Jesus drank wine all the time ..so doesn't that means that Jesus did drugs ..Jesus even turned water into wine and supplied it to other people which technically makes Jesus a drug dealer

I have heard and I believe that the destination or goal is not as important as the journey itself. I believe that.

Then if you think the goal is the important thing, when you reach it, then what?

God didn't create us for anything other then in his image and out of pure love. And why would you assume that God would ever think of us as lesser. Think about that for a minute if he is creating us in his image....Are you saying then that God is less......I think not.

Again I say to the funch God is to busy to get bored. And he sure as heck would not get bored with anything he has created....that is lame. And again are you assuming that Jesus drank wine "allthe time" When in reality not the case. Sometimes the way you think funch is bordering on insanity......oh wait there you have it.

I too believe this JB with all that is me. Of course our journey may be completely different....but that is ok. I did a thread on just this very thing. If your born, live, and as great as the journey is of living, and die....What is the significance to that. Would you not want there to be more? Or are you satisfied with it left at that. For me....I am not....I know there is more....

Sure, that's what I think too. There is more. A lot more than just the heaven you describe. There are many lives to live, many places to go. Incarnations into other lives, visits to other worlds. Many things to do and many places to go. I don't believe that there is only one place (heaven) as you do.

I'm perfectly happy knowing that when I die my body will return to the Earth by means of decomposition.

It makes me happy to know that I can give atleast a little bit back to the planet that has supported me for so many years. After all, I've already taken so much.

Well if you intend to be buried in a casket, your body will not be giving anything back to the earth for a long time.

So you had better donate you body to a forensic lab that puts bodies on the ground to study their decomposition process.

If you are cremated, how much will that give back to the earth? Ashes?

Eh, that's the problem. Most cemeteries require caskets now, I believe. I'd much rather not be buried in a cemetery at all.

I'll just have to try and look for other options and see if I can find a happy medium.

Why would I be cremated? That's a waste.

God didn't create us for anything other then in his image and out of pure love.

not out of pure love...out of pure dirt ...according to the Bible

And why would you assume that God would ever think of us as lesser.

Gods are funny that way....

Think about that for a minute if he is creating us in his image....Are you saying then that God is less......I think not.

only a lesser God would create imperfect creations

Again I say to the funch God is to busy to get bored. And he sure as heck would not get bored with anything he has created....that is lame.

God would get bored because what does he need humans for...to do what?... to make television programs for him to watch? ..to him they would all be reruns

And again are you assuming that Jesus drank wine "allthe time" When in reality not the case.

ok well he probably didn't drink any while he was asleep

Sometimes the way you think funch is bordering on insanity......oh wait there you have it.

I am insane.... but not delusional

For burial, there are certain health regulations. The only other way to die and let your body decompose is if someone illegally takes it and dumps it somewhere.

Or perhaps you can live in the wilderness and just have your family dig a hole and wrap you up in a blanket. It would probably be illegal, but you could do that. Or perhaps you might want to donate your body for organ transplants.

If you are serious, you might want to check into that stuff before you die.

I pretty much agree with that idea Feral, but I was questioning girl who said :

"I'm perfectly happy knowing that when I die my body will return to the Earth by means of decomposition."

So if she really feels that way, I think she might want to look into burial plans that don't enclose her body in a casket as it might take a long time to return her body to the earth.

The whole process is generally slower in a coffin, and the body may remain identifiable for many months. Some tissues, such as tendons and ligaments, are more resistant to decomposition, while the uterus and prostate glands may last several months.

But within a year all that is usually left is the skeleton and teeth, with traces of the tissues on them - it takes 40 to 50 years for the bones to become dry and brittle in a coffin. In soil of neutral acidity, bones may last for hundreds of years, while acid peaty soil gradually dissolves the bones.

Kinda gory...gigglesnort

But the coffin will last a lot longer and it contains the remains and the remains are not "returned" to the earth for a long time.

Granted over thousands of years maybe the coffin or casket will start to crumble.

Sorry funch no tour with saying the words..You can't take the tour unless you accept Jesus into your heart....thats the gig.....

But who is Jesus, the man potrayed by modern Christianity, or the man who spoke against what Christianity has become?
